04.01.2022 West Tamar Lions Club will be at Greens Beach today Celebrating Australia day. Free BBQ and activities on the beach from 10am. Come along & have some family fun & celebrate with us.



01.01.2022 West Tamar Lions Club held their annual Australia Day Family Fun Day at Greens Beach. And after a rather windy & drizzly start to the morning, the weather fined up & a fun day was had by all. As usual we had races on the beach, Tug of War, a Treasure Hunt & our Sand Sculpting competition. There was free lollies, Australian Flags, Australian Flag transfers, free sausages & water. There were 3 catergories in the Sand Sculptures, with the winners each receiving a bag of goodies... & they were... Juniors: 1st Prize - Koala Bear, with "Koala on a Tree" & 2nd Prize - Girl Squad with "Mermaid". Seniors: 1st Prize - Yeah Nah with "Ash Barty Tennis Racket" & 2nd Prize - Team Moore with "Wombat". Family: 1st Prize - The Mini Armies with "Snake" & 2nd Prize - The Whips with "Submarine". Overall winners for the day were... 1st Prize of $100, won by The Mini Armies with "Snake". 2nd Prize of $50, won by Koala Bear with "Koala On Tree". 3rd Prize of $25, won by Yeah Nah with "Ash Barty Tennis Racket. Congratulations to ALL the winners. And a special thank you to The Mini Armies who donated back their $100 towards our Bush Fire Relief. On behalf of the West Tamar Lions Club, thank you for supporting us on this special day & we hope to see you next year.
