25.01.2022 This weekend our unit - 233 St George held ‘Exercise Rebel Dragon’ bivouac (camp) which was located at Holsworthy Military Barracks. The 233 St George army cadets endured a range of lessons such as first aid, field navigation, ratel, and field signals. Following the lessons, cadets completed field activities with a special focus placed on navigation. A mission was given and the cadets within their section of eight, navigated through the bush to reach each check point. It was... intense however the cadets navigational and cadet skills were put into real practice. All in all, the weekend was a success and we appreciate the staff along with the NCOs for their efforts. Thank you to all the cadets for coming and for the great morale. ~ 233 St George Army Cadet Unit

He also attended the Adventure Training Award in 2018 and was awarded the ATA badge, the highest commendation within the Australian Army Cadets. -Cadets for me has been an extremely enjoyable experience, teaching many life skills, respect, courage, initiative and teamwork. During ATA, I had the opportunity to interact with cadets from across the country, share our experiences and exchange our knowledge. Cadets has also given me the opportunity to fly on a C130 Hercules which was an exciting new experience. Cadets is a great opportunity for anyone willing to step outside their comfort zone, it provides many opportunities and fun experiences, it provides a strong foundation that everyone can build their future off, especially for anyone thinking about the possibility of entering the defense force. Overall, cadets is a wonderful new experience that showcases the defense force, with unique opportunities that cannot be found anywhere else. See more

I have been in cadets for just a little over a year now and I have learnt many things and looking forward to learning more. Although t...hings might have a learning curve, the time you put into learning is time well spent. It is both fun and enjoyable and after each parade night I go home with a smile. The AAC has provided me with great confidence and knowledge both in the field and in real life. The experience you obtain while in the AAC is absolutely amazing and even better with a great unit, excellent leaders and friends you gain along the way. Cadets have given me opportunities to participate in incredible activities such as AFX (Annual Field Exercise).
