21.01.2022 Introducing Iris, the beautiful full sister to Tarrawarra Harry. She is just 12 months old. Maybe another one for Royal Melbourne Lowline Feature show 2021
20.01.2022 What do you do on a miserable day in lockdown. You take pictures of the bulls. Harry just hanging around looking gorgeous makes me happy
19.01.2022 Tarrawarra Genesis, what can I say!
18.01.2022 This is Indi (still doesn't have a registered name). At nearly 12 months old he shows all the size, thickness, depth and muscling of his full brother Tarrawarra Genesis. Also full brother to Tarrawarra Halcyon, grand Champion Bull Melbourne Show 2019 at 12 months of age. His dam ABAE129 (cover girl on the ALCA Journal 2018) has been the most wonderful cow and each one of her calves have been exceptional no matter what bull we used over her. One of our original girls, she is getting old now and suffered a severe hip injury when Indi was a calf. Suspect Indi will be her last calf but I keep procrastinating and thinking maybe we could try for one more calf by AI. Can't imagine not having her in the herd
17.01.2022 Tarrawarra Celine just hanging in the paddock. Paddock 70% clover and 30% rye and phalaris with remnants of some capeweed. Amazing what rain does, 310mm above last years rainfall total to the end of September
12.01.2022 Hughsie & Harry behind 'bars'. "Lets us in with the girls Mum"
10.01.2022 Why is it that when your young bull poses so beautifully but is in shadow and you only have your old iphone to hand. So no definition but still the outline says it all. Tarrawarra Illustrious at 16 months
10.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago I was trying to make the decision to have our much loved cow Lilly put down due to increasing pain and decreasing mobility with her old hip injury. She has been separated from the herd for 9 months. Thought I might try AI for one last calf and shifted her next door to the leased vineyard paddock with the young heifers. Yesterday I could hear her yelling and when I went down to check this is what I found
09.01.2022 Beautiful Grace, a Tarrawarra Barak daughter
07.01.2022 They say that necessity is the mother of invention! Twin heifers now 2 weeks old but not well yesterday. Brought mum and bubs into 3 acre hospital paddock. Of course mum keeps them in the coldest part of the paddock to be near the herd. Steels Creek Valley can be a freezing part of the world, so found another use for hay rings. Calves approve and I am less stressed. Everyone doing well today
05.01.2022 Absolutely delighted to get a full brother to 'Tank' AKA Tarrawarra Illustrious. He doesn't have a name yet but it will have to be a good one. Built like a 'brick dunny' just like Tank, he is a keeper and will be at Royal Melbourne Lowline Feature Show 2021
03.01.2022 One of the best things for me as a Lowline breeder is when happy clients/friends, who you have sold heifers and a bull to, send you pictures of the next generation
