22.01.2022 Quick little video on yesterdays bench session with Sam. The group took away plenty of tips and will no doubt follow them in future bench sessions. As a indicator I added 20kgs to my bench just by making 2 small changes.... Well be running more bench, squat and deadlift sessions in the future so keep an eye out and make the time to get along

13.01.2022 Monday Set yourself up for success, never miss a Monday! Top tips for getting back on track;... Have a plan for the week ahead. Commit to X number of sessions. Havent been to the gym in a while, dont go bull out of a gate! Consistency is the Ensure your eating adequate protein, carbs and fats to support your sessions. Drink plenty of H2O. Pack your gym bag in advance. Although you may drag your knuckles getting through the door, that feeling upon waking out with a smile is oh so worth it. As of 6pm this Friday well be turning off the old scanner and youll no longer have after hours access via the old tags.... The new tags are as pictured on the left hand side below. Theres no charge and it literally takes less than a minute to activate. Dont get caught out this weekend

09.01.2022 CHALK USAGE Just a reminder that chalk is only permitted for use on the deadlift platforms or in the racks. Firstly - If you feel the need to use chalk on the cable machines Ill give you a free tip - youre doing it wrong and probably need to seek the advice of a trainer.... Secondly - if you make a mess have the decency to at least attempt to clean it up. Your mummy isnt here to clean up after you so be a big boy or girl and clean up after yourself. Thirdly - scientific studies show those who use chalk on cable equipment achieve far less training results than those who dont. (Based on my observations anyway ) Like weve said in the past we wont ban the the use of chalk in the gym but Im happy to ban individuals that cant follow the rules. Were all about training here but were also about respecting our other members and our equipment. Thanks

The southern driveway is still open for use and there is also plenty of parking at the rear of the gym....
