One day of consuming a whole turkey and pudding to yourself and not moving from the chair whilst you sip your beverage wont drastically affect your goals. It is the one day that turns into weeks, that turns into months. The Holiday period is a great time to re-evaluate your current goals and adapt them to be more specific for the festive season. SMART goals. This ...is what separates the people achieving their goals, and those that ‘wish’ they did sooner. - - SMART Goals How can these be adapted for the festive season? S specific What exactly are you trying to achieve? Over the holidays, are you trying to fit in some movement? Do you want to be strict with your diet? Or do you want to enjoy yourself and not worry about it but in moderation? M measurable How will you know when you’ve achieved it? Is this a weekly tick off of yes I went to the gym this week? Is it ensuring that every meal contains protein? Or is it the satisfactory feeling after a delicious meal? How can you see that you’ve succeeded? A attainable Is it genuinely possible to achieve it? Can you say YES I can 100% achieve this or are you a 50% chance? If it’s 50% - change it. Ensure that the goal can be done, especially surrounding the celebrations. R relevant Does this mean anything to you? Will it be beneficial to your overall goal? What SMART goal can you create that will help you move up that ladder to the shining 12-month goal? Is eating all the food in front of you for two weeks straight going to help you lose 10kg+? Will this habit of enjoying yourself a little bit too much build into a nasty habit? T time-bound When do you want to achieve this by? 1 week? 4 weeks? 2 months? Consider it can be achieved in a timely manner. She began her 24fit journey so she wouldn’t become a frail old lady but let me tell you she is full of strength. With her greatest achievement within the gym being a 90kg deadlift. In her words even if it did nearly kill me! She currently trains for the love of it, her mental health and to get fit. With her current goal to deadlift 100kg for her 60th birthday in February. She is ...getting there slowly with lots of help from Simone Weeks. Louise’s top gym tip is to find something you like doing. With her favourite workouts being lower body, involving the leg press. If she listens to anything whilst working out it is her podcasts. 12.01.2022 MEMBER RECOGNITION Colin began his journey at 24fit in 2011. He first started at the gym because of old age and the need to fit regular exercise in. He trains to maintain a degree of flexibility, fitness, and strength. With the current goal to lose a little weight and gain more flexibility after recent surgery. He states his greatest achievement within the gym is his persistence and effort to be ‘precise’. His top gym tip for everyone is to try to make demands on your...self, when you don’t really ‘feel like it’, make the effort. Colin’s favourite exercises involve upper trunk and core routines. ‘Love Story Taylor Swift’ and ‘Streets Have No Name U2’ are his top workout songs. His most embarrassing gym moment is letting go of the battle ropes. He loves 24fit because the place is welcoming! A nice smile from the front of house staff is a great way to start the session. I really appreciate the cleaning regime too.

Feeling confident, learning to love & respect yourself is equally important. Tiana & Eden have been training with me since March & April of 2020 and collectively have lost a total of 18 kilos. While this is incredibly disappointing news, we respect the government’s decision in this difficult time. All our weekly memberships will be put on hold, with fees ceasing for the time that these government restrictions are in place. ... Antonio is a double amputee who consistently trains x3 every week with our personal trainer Anna. 03.01.2022 All of our lovely Norwood members have been sent a detailed email explaining new practises, (listed below) as some things will be a little different come JUNE 1ST. We need your help to strictly enforce some rules and conditions. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, you must not enter the gym. ... Cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, fever or chills, loss of smell or altered sense of taste. You must do all of the following: Stay at least 1.5 meters away from staff and other members. Bring and use your own towel and drink bottle. Use the hand sanitizer provided on entry. Wipe down equipment before and after use with the wipes provided. Limit your workout to 45 minutes or less. ... A few other noteworthy changes in line with SA health recommendations. We have disabled our fans. Showers and changeroom facilities are unavailable. We will not be running group fitness classes at this stage Some pieces of equipment have been disabled to allow for social distancing. We have a maximum capacity of 20 members plus staff. To help avoid disappointment and the need to wait outside, we ask that you please: If possible, avoid our peak times (6am 9:30am & 4:30pm 7:30pm). Shorten your visit as much as possible. (45 minutes maximum). Do not train in groups of more than two. We have analysed our door entry data and we are confident if the above 3 points are adopted by our members, we will not reach capacity. Capacity limits will be enforced by a combination of increased staff hours and remote monitoring. Our systems permit us to disable door access remotely if required. While cleanliness and hygiene has always been a high priority for us at 24fit, you can rest assured we are stepping it up another level. A stringent cleaning regime has been implemented. My name is Marni and not long ago I made the move from the little local 24fit in Port Lincoln to the big smoke which I now call home. My fitness journey started as a youngster, running around with a hockey stick since age 4, which sparked a love for training. This eventually transitioned into me wanting to study and take on the journey to not only help myself achieve my heal...th and fitness goals but to help others achieve theirs. In 2018 I decided to gain my Certificate 3 in Fitness, which landed me at my local gym, 24fit, instructing group classes and working behind the desk. Since then I have undertaken study to become a personal trainer to work one on one with clients to reach their goals as this has always been a passion of mine.
