And while we’re calling for entries, there’s a creative catch. The film must feature a banana. It should not be the main focus of the film but its use should be creative and meaningful. 17.01.2022 Wollongong City Council is working with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and NSW Police to remove and dispose of a whale that washed up against the rock platform at Waniora Point overnight on, Friday 11 September 2020. Council has placed temporary shark danger warning signage in the area and people should stay out of the water between Sandon Point and Bellambi Point for at least the next few days as there are a significant number of sharks who have been attracted to the area due to the carcass. https://www.wollongong.nsw.gov.au//dead-whale-removed-from

09.01.2022 One road opens, another one closes: commuters note take that Bulli Pass will be closed in both directions between 9am and 3pm next week Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 August. More info in the Transport for NSW Traffic Alert below... 14 AUGUST 2020 Maintenance closure on Bulli Pass... Motorists are advised Bulli Pass will be closed for maintenance work next week between Lawrence Hargrave Drive and M1 Princes Motorway. Work includes trimming vegetation, clearing gutters and drains, and maintenance of guardrails, signs and safety ramps. The road will be closed in both directions between 9am and 3pm on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 August, weather permitting. If delayed due to poor weather, work will be carried out on Friday 21 August. Detours will be in place via Lawrence Hargrave Drive or M1 Princes Motorway and Memorial Drive, and motorists are advised to plan their journey and allow up to 15 minutes additional travel time. Residents within the closure area will have access to their properties at all times under the guidance of traffic controllers from Lawrence Hargrave Drive only. Motorists are asked to drive to the conditions, and to follow the directions of traffic controllers and signs. Transport for NSW thanks road users for their patience during this time. 09.01.2022 REMEMBRANCE DAY 2020 The Helensburgh RSL will be conducting a small service for Remembrance Day 2020 at Charles Harper Park in Helensburgh on Wednesday, November 11. The service is limited to 100 people; there will be 10 chairs for those required to sit. Besides The Naval Guard and Service organisers, there will be space for approximately 60 guests who are welcome to attend. Organisers suggest each community group nominates one person to attend and lay a wreath.
