List of what was stolen: 3 bladed boat propeller, solid brass, 3 metres across Prop shaft, solid brass 6 large portholes, solid brass Large valves and various brass fittings As well as various tools and the inevitable jerry can with fuel. It’s not so much the value of the items that is the worst part it is the fact that we will never be able to get these parts again as they are from a 1940s Navy vessel, to machine and reengineer the parts will take an excessive amount of time and effort and would never be the same as the original. We ask everyone to keep their eyes and ears open as you never know what you may see or hear. You may look through Gumtree or the Buy, Swap and Sell pages and notice something or one of these items for sale. We realise that we may never get these valuable parts back and that they will likely be cut up to be unrecognisable to be sold, regardless a part of history is gone. Therefore, we encourage everyone to be on the lookout.
