19.01.2022 Men’s sheds are the heart of many communities and their contribution to men’s health is unquestionable. I am devastated to hear this morning that Nanango Men’s Shed have lost their shed to fire overnight. Please know the whole community is thinking of the members during this difficult time and are ready to help in any way to open your shed again very soon. 15.01.2022 Queensland is a resources State that relies on the jobs, royalties and the community contribution from the resources sector. Was a pleasure to be a guest of the Queensland Resources Council today for their annual lunch. The resources industry contributed $4.5 billon into the Qld Government coffers last year, this money must be spent on furthering our regions, building the hospitals, roads and schools that we deserve. In particular, I would like to see the State Government match the LNPs election commitment to upgrade the Peak Downs Highway and approve New Hope today so those people facing a Christmas without a job can have certainty.
12.01.2022 It is that time of the year when schools are celebrating the success of their students with their annual awards presentations. Whilst restrictions and upcoming Parliament sittings mean I am unable to attend most school ceremonies this year, I am grateful to still be able to contribute in a small way by sponsoring awards. Congratulations on your ‘Deb Frecklington Achievement Award’ Mitchell and thanks to Mum Karen for sharing the great photo.... Murgon State High School See more

02.01.2022 The 57th Parliament has now officially commenced with the traditional Governors address and Parliament garden party. We are fortunate in Australia that we have a democracy that means Governments are held to account by an opposition. We will always stand up for the best interests of Queensland.
