21.01.2022 Hows this for a score!! A 50+ year old silky oak generously donated by Yvonne and Barry up in Brissie. This thing is HUGE!! I will be making something special for them and their kids who planted the tree all those years ago. The rest will be rough turned and put out to dry to become a series of bowls and platters which will appear in our online shop coming soon!! #happywoodturner #woodturning #28degreessouthwoodcraft

10.01.2022 Working with wood is like meditation. It centres you, makes you focus and grounds you all at the same time. The sounds and the wonderful aromas that come from a wood shed are just bliss. Love it.

06.01.2022 I received a lovely email from the P&F association at Mount Saint Micheal's College thanking me for contributing one of my boards for their annual Mothers lunch. These amazing ladies raised over $19k which will go to the college scholarship fund to help those less fortunate to get an exceptional education. 28 South is so very happy that that we could help out and we raise our glasses to you ladies. Bravo

02.01.2022 Spring is coming and that means honey!!! 28 south has a sweet secret and thats Minori honey. The bees are busy and the garden is alive so I will be making a batch of honey dippers to compliment a wonderful jar of Minori honey. Naturally I will have to test some dippers in several flavours of honey...for quality assurance of course!!

01.01.2022 Hi everyone. Its been a few weeks since I posted as I have been away with some other commitments but Im back and will be in the wood shed this weekend doing what I love best.
