22.01.2022 Here also a short 4 minute clip of the Messy Miners story of Noah - built by a group of kids ages 9-18. Our next session in 2 weeks is "Nehemiah"... the build team are excitedly getting to work on it!

20.01.2022 Join Kelly Shang as she leads us in worship this Sunday

12.01.2022 Hey everyone! This Sunday it's time for the Messy Churches to meet to on zoom! Join us at 2:30pm. If you don't have the link, PM the page, or email Sandy. We're planning to hear an episode from Jesus' life where he healed two women - the young daughter of a man named Jairus, as well as a lady who has been suffering for a dreadful illness for many years. These lovely stories are very relevant to the difficult times we're living with - and remind us that God will always take ...the trouble to hear us and care for us whenever we call on God! There are two activities to do beforehand. The first one below is a creative prayer activity called "Bless the Broken Hearted." If you can make the heart beforehand, but not decorate it, we'll do that during our prayer time. I've also included some heart shaped biscuits to make as well (mostly because it looks like a wet and miserable weekend ahead and who doesn't like cookies??) :-)

09.01.2022 A few people have been interested to know how prayer has worked in Minecraft. Here's a 2 minute vid our "Noah's Ark" prayers: We made a 'microbuild' symbolising something we were worried about or wanted to say sorry for, and then Blew it up with TNT! Symbolising God Taking it away and us being forgiven. One of the kids reflected at the end: "I liked experiencing that God can come into my mind and take the things that worry me and blow them up!" A brilliant, wise 9 year old understanding of prayer that has been resonating in my mind ever since! As always, I'm interested in your reflections.

09.01.2022 This evening we are joined by Rev. Dr Peter Blackwood for a reflection on the life and work of John Wesley. John Wesley and his brother Charles are the founders of Methodism, which lays at the foundation of the Uniting Church in Australia. There is much about John and Charles Wesley's approach to the faith that can help us reflect on our faith, prayer and mission in the world today. Join us for John Wesley's SPACE!

05.01.2022 Here's the clip of last month's Messy Miners story. The story of the prophet Nehemiah! Thanks to Beth Barnett for letting us adapt your script, to our very clever build team of kids and teens, and to the adults who helped out. And thanks to everyone who joined us for the fun!

03.01.2022 Here is Sophia’s artistic contemplation on the Philippians passage from this morning. I wonder what fruit came from your interactions with the scriptures this morning?
