24.01.2022 Playing around with some oil paint today. I find paint brushes very awkward, and difficult to control, so a lot of this I did with my fingers Haha, so much easier! The other thing I learnt is that painting makes me want to draw, so I might be doing some quick pencil sketches in the coming days to put in my new art diary.

18.01.2022 My latest drawing. I did this one in preparation for the show season to start. The subject a little random, yes, but I chose it for the texture and detail.

15.01.2022 This drawing has been two years in the pipe line because it is a very sentimental image for me and I wanted it to be perfect. This is me and my sister's first horse, Pippa. She was my heart horse and I will never forget her. We sadly lost her to a snake bite two years ago.

08.01.2022 For someone who is as horse crazy as I am, you would think I would be drawing horses all the time. But I get so frustrated when I try, because it is just never real enough for my liking. Something is always wrong with it. Even though I can pick a lot wrong with this drawing, I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I will conquer this frustration yet!

06.01.2022 This one I have done in anticipation for the show season. I used white pencil, white pastel, charcoal and a white gel pen, trying to get as much depth into the drawing as I could. Still need a good name for it... any suggestions?

02.01.2022 I decided to try something a little bit different yesterday. Draw a white picture on a black background. I was happily surprised to see the outcome. So much quicker too, since there isnt as much to draw. I certainly will be doing more of these kinds of drawings in the near future!
