16.01.2022 Teachers need to be aware that working with stressed kids has consequences, good and bad. To avoid the bad, practice self care. Creativity is great for you. Here’s a Brisbane workshop being run by past FHEAL art therapist Taraka.

15.01.2022 The curious selection of figures and resulting colour of storytelling using sand play with kids in HEAL is a joy to behold.

15.01.2022 We all need a sense of safety. In HEAL services we explain to our kids whether it is during Covid or in other areas, it’s important to know what helps you to feel comforted and safe.

14.01.2022 Give through GiveNow at https://www.givenow.com.au/FriendsofHeal We are fast approaching the end of the financial year. Please consider our charity for your annual donation, it's tax deductible, and fully spent on refugee background kids' well-being in schools, through providing creative arts therapy to facilitate recovery. Be the change you want to see in the world.

13.01.2022 #lainey.molnar is so right. We can be confident and strong whoever and however we are. Some girls need reminding of that, and HEAL services help.

13.01.2022 EMERGENCY ACCOMMODATION NEEDED If you are in Brisbane, there is an urgent accommodation need. About 30 refugees are being kicked out of their homes on Monday and most have no where to go. They are mainly single young males but there are some families. (This list could be growing). They were in Community Detention without work rights but now have 6 months Bridging Visas with work rights but no centrelink back up. They must find accommodation within 3 days. Many have very little money and cannot afford the rental bond. Some have cars but some don't. If you can help call Mark Gillespie on 0439 561196 or email him at [email protected] and he will put you in contact with people trying to help.

01.01.2022 Happy Diwali to those who celebrate it! The meaning of Diwali is the celebration of light, making a fresh start, and new beginnings. Many people consider that Diwali marks the start of their new year, enabling them to make plans for a new start, a little like new year’s resolutions. It is a time for people to reflect and free their hearts of anything which has been troubling them or casting a shadow over their lives. It’s so that divine light can then shine throughout your home and your family.
