23.01.2022 D is for dig dig dig. So much fun. We got outside and got dirty. We made d shaped sandcastles, drove over the "d", dug over the d, drew roads, found rocks and most of all had plenty of fresh air. @ Sunshine Coast, Queensland

17.01.2022 Sensory boxes. Super easy and so much fun. I placed my number roads in each box. Charlie had to use his hands or the forklift to find out what the missing numbers were. When we did this activity he was only 2. He loved it so much. I used rice, shaving cream and goop ( cornflour and water). The tubes are just from his toy shelves. They are the best. #sensoryplay #sensorylearning #busytoddler #earlyeducation #engaginglearningexperie #mumofboys #adelaidemums #perthmums #sydneymums #sunshinecoastlocalbusiness #sunshinecoastmums #muminbiz #townsvillemums #sunshinecoastlocal #sunshinecoast

16.01.2022 Lately I have been seeing so many posts about people asking suggestions of things to do with their kids. People going on the mad rush to get art supplies. But what people are forgetting is everything they need is actually at home. I saw Charlie stacking toilet paper. I took this as an opportunity to keep learning about numbers and counting. I gave him some number cards (can purchase from my shop for $12) and said choose a number. He made the rules of that number then. He said I am going to make 5 towers of 5. So many things he has now learnt in one activity. I did not force it. I did not tell him how to do it. So don't make it harder for yourself, ask your child what they want to do. Win win I say ;)

16.01.2022 With being locked in the house, the best part is when you get the chance to get out, you do what ever you can to stay out. If your kids are like my boys, one boy is always dirty and the other one hates getting dirty. Haha can you tell which one. We are using my alphabet roads here to learn all about the letter d. Have a great day beautiful people. #childleadlearning #prekindyactivities #prekindyaustralia #learningmyletters #busytoddler #earlyeducation #prekindy #toddlerlife #stayathomemum #playinginthedirt #sunshinecoastlifestyle @ Sunshine Coast, Queensland

15.01.2022 This is a repost I found on another page. I love this so much. As a teacher, we have had children slowly drop out of class due the big elephant in the room "covid 19". I totally can see why they don't want to risk it. However as a result, we have been asked numerous times, what can my child do at home then? My response is exactly like this one. Learning can happen in so many ways. It doesn't just happen by sitting down and writing in a book. So if you are in self isolation. N...ow don't get me wrong all these activities you can incorporate forms of writing and mathematics, but enjoy every moment you have with your family. Treat it like a vacay, and let your little ones spend that time with you. Because in the long run, they will learn more when they don't realise they are learning ;) #selfisolation #learningmyletters #sunshinecoast #brisbanemum #melbournemums #sydneymums #sunshinecoastlocalbusiness #adelaidemums #sunshinecoastmums #instamum #prekindyresources #stayathomemum #prekindyaustralia #learningmynumbers #toddleractivitiesathome #busytoddler #earlyeducation #prekindy #toddlerlife See more

13.01.2022 Being a stay at home teacher mum vs reality........ As we are getting ready to teach online, i am stocking up on my and . The thing is, when also teaching your kids at home, try and be flexible. Remember that you most likely have more than one child to wrangle and also remember you aren't a teacher, so if it all gets too much, do not be hard on yourself. Try and let things go. You'll have days of glory and days where you have given up. But that is ok. It is not you...r expectation that all of sudden you will be planning lessons for your child on maths, etc. A teacher has had 3+ years attending university to become a teacher. So don't be hard on yourself. Be kind to you. If you are struggling with any concept feel free to let me know. Only word of advice is Kids strive on positive encouragement, so anything amazing they do, give them a sticker or stamp. It's that simple :) See more

13.01.2022 Recently unfortunately my husband got let off:( even though this is not educational activities, I thought I might share this in the hope someone might need his amazing carpentry skills or know of any jobs that may be available. #sunshinecoastlifestyle #sunshinecoastmums #brisbanemums #sydneymums #sunshinecoastlocalbusiness #sunshinecoast#brisbane

11.01.2022 Wash wash wash.... I'm very much over these 4 little letters WASH. With all the sickness going around at the moment I decided I'd wash Charlie's number roads. I've used hot soapy water. They had stickers, months old paint and playdough on them (sometimes life gets a little busy haha). So easy to clean and they are ready for us to get them dirty once again. I think today I might take them outside when the rain stops so Charlie can drive his trucks all over them and droop mud all over them too. What are your cleaning tips for toys? Sanitizer or no sanitizer? Good old soapy water? What about for timber toys? @ Sunshine Coast, Queensland

09.01.2022 Haha nothing like dinosaur puppets. Charlie hasn't really ever been interested in dinosaurs, but yesterday he said Mummy where do dinosaurs live. Haha so we decided to look up different dinosaurs and made this beauty. Lucky I had the play mat setting of the lake. Made it seem even more real :) nothing like a little impromptu;) Haha #storyofmylife #funathomewithkids #prekindyaustralia #prekindyaustralia #toddlerlife #toddlerresources #2muchfun #mumofboys #stayathomemum #teachermumaustralia #sunshinecoastlocalbusiness #covid_19 #coronavirusactivities

09.01.2022 We started looking at Whales.....where do whales live....what do they eat...do they have friends....what do they do....where can I see them......how do you spell whale... the questions were endless, but instead of answering one after each other, I said to him let's see if there is a book that can help out. Luckily I had the book the whale with the snail on it's tail. It pretty much answered all these questions and much more. So next time your beautiful threenager asks a million questions, get them to find the answers themselves. It's amazing how much information can be in one book without you even realising it ;) ps. These are the alphabet roads. Super easy when you have impromptu learning experiences. Haha who plans anyway. #thisisliving #sunshinecoast @ Sunshine Coast, Queensland

09.01.2022 Recycling and reusable 100%. All I ask is before you all buy things to make during this time, look around you and see what you can use. We used milk cartons and the cardboard is from a coffee satchel box. We made 3 for Charlie's nephews and niece. Super easy and a lot of fun. No need for the internet. Try and switch off. It's amazing how creative you can be with out social media. :) #easter #easterfun #sunshinecoast #brisbanemum #melbournemums #sydneymums #sunshinecoastlocalbusiness #sunshinecoast#brisbane

08.01.2022 B is for Boat and today we discovered there were so many other things starting with B. I must admit it was so handy having our alphabet roads and number roads ready to go :) all my activities are not planned, nor are they staged. I just follow my little man. Let your children lead their own learning. When was the last time you asked them what do you want to do?

07.01.2022 Prepare yourself for a lot of cuteness and a little less mess. Every in contained in this one box. Loved seeing my little man's imagination. The best part is we can reuse it over and over again. The Exploration Set helps kids explore and have fun all day long.

05.01.2022 What a world this thing has created. I guess in these times of craziness, try and think of the true beauty that surrounds you...family....rainbow playdough. This recipe is super easy and I used everything I had at home. The recipe is below: 1 cup of flour 1/2 cup of salt... 2 table spoons of lemon juice 1 cup of boiling hot coloured water 1 table spoon of vegetable oil Mix all ingredients together:) and pronto you have playdough. You may need to add more flour if the mixture is too wet. If you want to make rainbow playdough split the ingredients into 5 bowls. To store the playdough, I used an old butter tub and placed it in the fridge. If stored properly, it can last up to 6 months.

02.01.2022 K is for kites. Today we are going to attempt to make our own. Charlie has been talking about them non stop. Wish us luck Haha anyone have any great DIY ways of making a kite...we need all the help we can get. #childleadlearning #prekindyactivities #prekindyaustralia #learningmyletters #busytoddler #earlyeducation #engaginglearningexperiences #coronavirusactivities #brisbanemums #melbournemums #adelaidemums #perthmums #sydneymums #sunshinecoastlocalbusiness #sunshinecoastmums #muminbiz #townsvillemums #sunshinecoastlocal
