21.01.2022 Still time to drop off your donations for August

19.01.2022 Well here we are 20 years later. Never in my wildest dream did I think we’d still be going strong,( I had initially thought maybe 5years ) guess we must have been doing something right. To all our amazing customers I can’t thank you enough for your loyalty and encouragement. We’ve certainly made some great friends along the way, of course none of this would have been possible without my right hand and sister Lorraine and the friends I’ve called on over the years Judy, Jan, Sue Chris and Brenda. To celebrate all summer stock and ladies shoes will be half price some great bargains at $5 ( see green tags) White tags and new shoes not included in sale. Sorry.

14.01.2022 For the first time ever, a million Australians are out of work. Although many are still looking for work, the challenges our small businesses are facing to keep... their doors open and staff employed are significant, and not easily overcome. If you are able, please support a small business when looking for goods and services - you're likely helping them keep their doors open and staff on board. And we need to ensure they'll still be around on the other side of this crisis, to help us all recover.

13.01.2022 It’s official: jobs in small businesses have been the hardest hit this year. New data from the ABS shows that the greatest job losses between March and August ...2020, in percentage terms, have been in smaller businesses, while bigger companies have been mostly doing OK. One of the reasons is they are not as exposed to downturns in the general consumer economy - larger businesses tend to have bigger cash reserves, and customers with bigger accounts - many are often bigger businesses themselves. Bigger companies are also are in a better negotiating position with their banks and landlords. Government support can help, but there are simply too many small businesses for them all to get through. That’s where we can come in as a community of Australians. If enough of us #golocalfirst and spend a bit more with small businesses, we can make a genuine difference because there is strength in numbers. If we support them now, it’s more likely the small businesses in our communities can make it through.

07.01.2022 Let’s break our record of 47. Drop off in store any time

04.01.2022 As all my customers know I pride myself on customer service as does my staff. I have been in business for 20 years now and while I don’t post a lot in social media, (because our reputation for quality and value, as well as word of mouth) has been and will continue to be, the best form of publicity. However, I realise there are people that like to give their opinion good or bad, in the form of stars on our Facebook page. I welcome all feed back and I am greatful for the rev...iews we have had. On Friday we received 2stars from a phone customer. (I’m not sure if she has even visited my store). Apparently there was misinterpretation of some sort. I’ve responded twice to the complaint asking for more information, but as yet no reply. Please if you have an issue and you feel the need to put forward a complaint at least follow up. This applies to all businesses not just 2nd Edition Wishing you all a happy and safe Australia Day Marg
