19.01.2022 Excellent night - 2nd & 3rd Orange Venturers together visiting Orange SES - conducted yourselves very well - when Rob kept saying he wanted to recruit you guys now (if over 16) or sometime in the future I am sure he meant it. J

17.01.2022 Just back from special weekend in Blue Mts - Dawn Service at Blackheath with Venturers - small village but probably 300 people - very moving ANZAC Day service - mostly got the balance right - cold wind in short sleeves! Then coffee/ hot chocolates - first cafe customers but soon joined by many others - back to the campground for a Venturer breakfast fry-up. Rest of the day rock skills training at Mitchell's Ridge cliffs - excellent site for this. We had the elements to contend with - hail, pelting rain, electrical storm show - 1.5 hours in middle of day - considerate as we needed lunch. Then back into it till dark. Returned to Blackheath to ground looking like it had snowed such the depth of hail stones. Abandoned today's canyoning - too much water about and too cold. Went bushwalk instead. Guys did really well!

14.01.2022 LAMINGTON making today - thank you to those who helped with preparations, making and selling - 800+ doz (or whatever the final count was over this) is a remarkable team effort! Tomorrow we are not doing Red Shield appeal as a unit Monday night as per usual at the Hall.... Tuesday at 6.30 - meeting for everyone going to WJ - Rovers, Venturers, Leaders. Andy is running this night - gear, food, transport to sort out

11.01.2022 2nd Orange supporting Ratskin 2015 with 3 adult teams (out of 9). Here are two of the teams: 'Men in Black' and 'Thyme and Spice'. Had one venturer team - who did very well!

06.01.2022 Special day canyoning with Venturers- Serendipity - what a great canyon - new to all of us - 4 abseils - short drops but 2 quite tricky - photos to come from others - too wet for cameras othe than the Gopros or waterproof types. Good workout for our new wetsuits!
