06.01.2022 Recruitment Tips | How to Grow Your Scout Group This article from Scouting magazine nails it with some fantastic tips and ideas on how to expand your Scout Group!! Scouting in Australia has gone through a big revamp in the last two years and there is a major emphasis on youth leading adult supporting that screams opportunity, opportunity, opportunity!!!!... Our program provides so many benefits to our youth members - the opportunities are endless, not only in doing exactly what they want along their Scouting journey and the continuity of this program as the transition from Unit to Unit, but also the leadership and life skills that make a big difference in their day-to-day life. Where else can a youth member get the opportunity and support to learn how to present confidently to large groups of people, to challenge themselves to prepare and complete amazing outdoor activities such as completing the Bibbulmun Track?? Scouting really does does cover everything!! And the article brings up another great point in families being involved in Scouting, rather than it just being another extra curricular activity for their children. Training opportunities (which btw are free), friendships, travel opportunities - all which help make for a happier and fulfilled adult. Have a read, let us know your thoughts and for more more information about Scouting, your closest Scout Group and how to join our amazing youth organisation: 8241 7000 during normal business hours [email protected] or send us a pm to this page.
