15.01.2022 Good news, we have been given permission to return to the Friday night meetings. See you tonight and don’t forget we have new safety processes and section limits to help keep us all safe.

15.01.2022 2nd Toowoomba Scout Group is getting ready to take part in Operation Nighthawk 2019. This is an annual event held in the Toowoomba Region that sees Scouts and Venturers from across SE Queensland and Northern NSW walk through the night, navigating between bases where they must complete challenges. It's a great test of their ability to work as a team in challenging conditions without adult supervision. We've got two Scout teams and one joint Venturer team (with Glennie Heights) competing. Our group also runs the base at the half-way point. Ours is a place of warmth and food; a chance to recharge the batteries before heading back out into the night. It's fondly referred to as Milo Base!

14.01.2022 Could you inspire the next Bear Grylls? 2nd Toowoomba Scout Group is seeking two adults who have what it takes to lead our youth to greatness. Being a Scout Leader is voluntary, but you'll be given training which will develop your skills in leadership, project management and event planning.... We are currently seeking one leader for Scouts (11-14) and one leader for Venturers (15-17) to join our existing leaders in those sections. Think you've got what it takes? Contact us today to learn more!

06.01.2022 We would like to thank everyone that made last night trivia possible. It would not have been possible to run such a great night without everyone that attended as participants and our great support crew for the cooking, cleaning, promotional work, donation of time and prizes and our group of question writers. It made it all worth it hearing your laughter and seeing your smiles as you had fun competing and seeing the teams working out some of our more challenging questions. A...s mentioned this event was to fundraise for new tents for the youth to use for camps, due to ours being damage or destroyed at a camp a couple of months ago with extreme force winds tearing them and ripping them apart. Photos of the tents purchased from the money from the trivia night will be put up on the page to show everyone what they helped achieve. We talked it over with the team of helpers after the event and have decided that we had so much fun running this trivia night that we want to run another one. For those that really enjoyed it and would love to come to the next one please like this page as we will be advertising the next trivia night on here along with many other activities and nights. Like our wine tours, shopping tours, firewood for those colder months and some online raffles we are currently working on. Again a great big thank you to all and we hope you have a lovely Sunday relaxing with friends and families.

06.01.2022 To celebrate our 40th year we invite you to join Agoonoree for our first Trivia night hosted by Issa Schultz from The Chase Australia. 06.01.2022 Look what we found carefully stored in our cupboards! 2nd Toowoomba's Beaver Patrol won a camping award in 1971. 48 years later and our Scouts are still taught how to put up a "Queensland Pitch" by lashing together wooden poles with ropes. #throwbackthursday #scouts #scouting

04.01.2022 Did you know that 2nd Toowoomba Scout Group raises funds by selling firewood through the chilly months? We're raffling our first trailer of wood for the season. Tickets are available from parents of 2nd Toowoomba Scouts or from Gareth Edwards Optometrist, 113 Russell Street, Toowoomba City (parking off Dines Lane at rear). Perfect for stoves and fire-pits alike, stay warm this winter and support your local Scouts!

04.01.2022 This is our youth program... It's more fun, challenging, adventurous and inclusive than ever before. It's one program, and it's one continuous journey.... More here: http://bit.ly/thisisouryouthprogram

03.01.2022 Our Scout and Venturer units have just taken part in Operation Nighthawk, an annual event where the youth members walk through the night without direct adult supervision, using teamwork and their navigation skills to complete a 10km course with technical challenges at 6 checkpoints. 2nd Toowoomba Scout Group runs base 4, better known as Milo Base, where the Scouts have 10 minutes to grab a sausage and hot milk drink before heading back out into the night. The short video belo...w gives a glimpse of what it's all about. All this is possible thanks to the generosity of our leaders and parents who give their time to transport Scouts and run the bases. Special thanks also the Gareth Edwards Optometrist for providing logistical support and a coffee machine for the helpers on Milo Base, Sedl Earthmoving Pty Ltd for lending us an amazing generator to run the base and Tillys Crawler Parts for lending us their super-sized Gazebo which gave the Scouts space and shelter from the icy winds that blew that night.

03.01.2022 Scouts get opportunities to learn, develop and have fun with their mates. If you're looking for a unique adventure, message us today! #ReadySetScout #scoutsqld

03.01.2022 Baden-Powell was born 162 years ago today, on 22 February 1857. As a child he and his brothers sailed around the south coast of England in search of adventure. After school he joined the Army and, following a distinguished military career, returned to England a national hero. But he is best known in Australia and internationally as the founder of Scouting. Scouts and Guides from across the Darling Downs will meet at 7pm tonight at St John's Lutheran Church on Bridge Street to mark Founder's Day and Thinking Day.

02.01.2022 Call for any more interest in people wanting to attend the Trivia Night. You don’t need 10 people to attend, 10 is just the max number we wanted at a table. We still have 20 seats left if your interested please contact James via this page or call him on 0413 418 751. If you could also share this to see if we can get this out to as many people as possible.

02.01.2022 We're excited to show you the new designs for our peak award badges. Following our members survey last year, the badges were developed in conjunction with the d...esigners of our new brand, Cato Brand Partners to reflect Scouting as the contemporary dynamic youth movement that it is. You will start to see them appear throughout 2020 as the old badges sell out. See the designs http://bit.ly/peakawarddesigns : Cecilia Jackson Art and Photography
