24.01.2022 A few days have passed but finally got around to posting about Road Nationals held last weekend in Ballarat. Liam raced the crit and road race. Was strong and smart in both. Unfortunately a mechanical forced him out of the crit with 2 laps to go. Was in the main bunch, 5 up the road in a break. In the road race he was with the remains of the bunch at the front of the race on the start of the last lap up the climb. Wasnt quite able to stay with the front guys over the top. 14th only 1m20s down. Thanks again to Yakima Racks AU/NZ and Motors Tasmania providing excellent transport for bikes and people to the races.

24.01.2022 Taken a few days to get to posting about Maydena and National Gravity Enduro Champs. Tom and Jak both had hard crashes on their first practice day. For Jak especially this affected his ability to practice and race. Very impressed that he persevered and completed the race. Tom finished 4th, Taylah 5th and Jak 20th. They all get a well deserved break from training for a couple of weeks now. State XCO Champs at Penguin this weekend!

23.01.2022 Liam finally received his Jersey as National Cup winner last year. (covid delays) Got to try it out at St Helens today. Thanks to My Ride Launceston Fuel4Sport Motors Tasmania... Yakima Racks AU/NZ and Mountain Bike Australia - MTBA See more

17.01.2022 Liam had some unfortunate luck at Oceanias with a suspected break of his little toe the day before the race then getting caught up in a crash on race day and hitting the toe again, making riding difficult. Hopefully Nationals will be better.

16.01.2022 Good day out at the LMBC 2 hour yesterday. Thanks to LMBC for putting on the event and to Chris and Astrid for their awesome track, quite possibly the best private XC track in the country. A big call but I'm prepared to make it! Photos Chris Grose

16.01.2022 Liam teamed up with Riley Cowling for the LMBC 4hr. They won, completing the most number of laps in the 4 hours. Good work guys! Motors Tasmania Yakima Racks AU/NZ

16.01.2022 Practicing some lines on Kingswall, Derby. Thanks to the athletes for coming along and Sam Wells for his help.

15.01.2022 EMS Continental Series Enduro at Derby over the weekend and some awesome results. Tom took out Junior Men and would have been 7th fastest on the day, excluding Kumma Gutza that the juniors didnt do. Taylah was 2nd in Junior Women, with a win on the treacherous Shearpin stage. Jak was unlucky with a broken chain at the top of Trouty costing him valuable time. Good luck to all at this weekends National Champs at Maydena. @mtbsportAU

13.01.2022 With most athletes slowly preparing for the next MTB season there is a couple who have still been out racing. After falling ill on his recent trip to South Africa (unable to race) Liam bounced back over the weekend in MacKay with a 3rd on Saturday and a win on Sunday. Zoe has been out racing on the road, including in the terrible conditions on Saturday at Deloraine. Well done!

13.01.2022 I recently had the pleasure of attending a PMBIA coaching course. It was the best course Ive done. Learnt so much about how to teach Mountain Biking skills and got some pointers on my own technique as a bonus. Anyway, now have a PMBIA Level One Coaching qualification to compliment MTBA Level One and Cycling Australia Road and Track Level One. Thanks to Harlan Price for making the trip from Virginia to share his knowledge.

09.01.2022 Well Liam is currently boarding his flight to Canada for the UCI MTB World Champs. Zoe is showing great form as she prepares for the Junior Road Nationals next month. Taking the win at Symmons Plains on the weekend to wrap up the overall win in her grade for the Winter Series.

09.01.2022 Liam competed in his first Otway Odyssey today, in the 50 km course. A close race with Dom pushed them both to the finish well ahead of the previous course record. Liam managed to get away from Dom a few kilometers from the finish. Awesome race! Well done. Rapid Ascent

01.01.2022 Well a bit a late on the update but a good start to the season. A couple of weeks ago on the 21/22nd September was busy. Zoe was at Road Nationals on a very tough course, including a climb of 16%. She showed great determination to finish all of her races strongly. Also on that weekend was the 1st Tas Gravity Enduro in Hobart. Tom was 4th in Elite Men, Jak 3rd in U17 Men and Taylah 4th in Elite Women. Meanwhile Liam and Adrian were at Pickles Hill. Liam took out the 60 km race while Adrian won the 40 km in Masters 5/6. Overall a great weekend. Liam also entered the AMB 100 (66km option) in Canberra last weekend and won the elite category. Looking forward to Derby Coaching weekend this coming weekend.
