20.01.2022 This event weekend don't forget our new COVID-safe policy 'Arrive, Compete, Leave' Feeling unwell or have any cold symptoms? Stay home. Attending the event? Make sure you are a registered participant or have completed the QR code CHECK-IN.... Masks are to be worn on arrival and departure from the event and in common areas while not racing. Masks are not required when moving from your bike rack to the start line, during racing, and from the finish to bike check-out. Keep 1.5m distance from others in all settings and sanitize hands regularly. Rolling wave starts will be conducted to reduce participant densities, these will be published with our race week information. To enable a prompt exit from the event, bikes to be collected straight after finishing your race, from managed transition access points. 11.01.2022 That’s a Wrap on Race 3! The feel-good vibe was buzzing on-site as participants were visibly glad to back racing at Elwood after a unique lead-in. It was clear that all were happy to be back racing in a COVIDSafe environment (and maybe the perfect weather helped also!) ... At the pointy end of the field Mitchell KIBBY and Sophie PERRY took out line honours in the Elite Category Sprint (750m/20km/5km) with times, 58:28.9 and 1:07:09.5 respectively. Race 3 was also the Triathlon Australia Sprint Age Group Championships, seeing many age groupers become national champions! (To be eligible athletes must have been racing as a Triathlon Australia Annual Member). Participants should keep an eye on their inbox tomorrow afternoon for a full race wrap-up, but in the meantime here are results and a few top shots!
