25.01.2022 On International Book Giving Day and Valentines Day, 3 Bears bestowed the gift and love of reading on our children, by leaving out books as gifts scattered around the service with a clear bookplate announcing This book is for you, please take me home. Getting books into the hands of as many children as possible is the number 1 goal of the Day and with 43 books going home today, 3 Bears has successfully helped to grow this initiative for another year.

09.01.2022 BABY BEARS OUT AND ABOUT Excursions and regular outings provide valuable opportunities for our children to explore the wider community and to extend our educational program. Getting out and about into the community is not only an exciting change of scene from our Early Education Service, but it also provides a whole host of benefits for our children. On this excursion we can be seen buying food for afternoon tea, donating our change to charity, talking about road safety, the importance of listening, respecting those around us and host of other relatable topics or concepts on everyday, relatable environments and experiences. We believe our children should have a respected voice in the world and shouldn’t be invisible in our community.

06.01.2022 THE BIG VEGIE CRUNCH Did you know ? Only 1 in 20 Australian children are eating enough vegetables. ... Healthy habits are established early in life, so at 3 Bears we get our children involved in programs that involve eating vegetables more often. Today at 10:00am we took part in a simultaneous veggie crunch, that saw more than 80 primary schools and Early Education centres across the Mid -North Coast munch on fresh vegetables. Our Baby Bears Grow>Harvested>Prepared>shared their vegetables in an activity that truly empowered them to love vegetables and our Earth. Mama Bears and Papa Bears Our service was fortune to secure sponsorship with Woolworths to provide a fresh veggie box for the event, that was cut up as a platter to share. The sound of the crunches were captured using a Decibel App to encourage all children in a fun playful way to try foods that they wouldn’t normally chose to snack on and raise awareness of a variety of crunchy, fresco vegetables.
