This was a winner for us! Cauliflower rice (made with romanesco broccoli instead of cauliflower) topped with a cabbage, peanut and chilli stir fry, and with a sneaky vino on the side. The photo doesn't do this meal justice - it was delicious! We sell romanesco broccoli, cabbage, spring onions for $5 per bunch. This week you can also order kale, silverbeet, carrots, beetroots, fennel and lettuce.

We have had some lovely feedback this week. A 13 year old boy came up to me and voluntarily told me how much he enjoyed our fresh carrots. Kudos to his mum and dad for raising such a nice young man who eats fresh food!!! We have also had some lovely returning customers tell us how much they love the kohlrabi (pictured). Having never eaten it before, it was a bit of an experiment for a few people but now it’s a firm favourite. We have the white/ green kohlrabi in stock now but will soon have the purple ones too.

09.01.2022 Coming in a few months... rows and rows of strawberries we planted the rows this week and already the girls are asking how long until they can fill their bellies with strawberries!!!

09.01.2022 It was kimchi making day today! Kimchi is a traditional fermented condiment from Korea. This is our interpretation - carrots covered in a paste made from ginger, garlic, spring onion and chilli, now in a fermenting pot to sit for a few days. They already smell amazing and this will only get better with age. We sell carrots and spring onions for $5 per bunch. Get your fresh produce today and get experimenting!

05.01.2022 KALE! Green leafy goodness. Kale is full of vitamins and minerals for boosting immune systems, healing wounds and for strong bones and teeth. Some of our favourite ways to eat kale are: * finely chopped and raw in a salad (here's one we made yesterday) * roast it in the oven to make kale chips - lightly oil the stems and leaves and roast until they are crunchy... * in a smoothie - add some fruit and yoghurt of your choice for a healthy vitamin rich breakfast * in a soup- use kale similar to silverbeet in a soup * saute it lightly with some oil and garlic in a pan and eat it over toast (it's a staple dinner in our house!) Want to try it this week? We sell bunches of cavello (or tuscan) kale for $5 per bunch. Give it a go and let us know what delicious creations you come up with!

02.01.2022 3 Moons nutrient-dense organic vegetables have been turned into delicious minestone (vegetable) soup, by Bronwyn, a chef and friend who recently moved to Monto. Minestone soup is now available in the 3 Moons Farm fridge at Harvest & Co. Each serve feeds two people and is $15 per container.

We are so pleased to be a regular stallholder at @TheMontoMarkets and to have the opportunity to chat directly with our customers. We are locals, growing fresh produce on our property at Moonford. We use no chemicals and are happiest when we sell our fresh produce directly to our local community. We look forward to seeing you and having a chat next Saturday at the Markets.
