25.01.2022 Throwback to our first beach clean of the year all the way back in January. For sure looking forward to doing it all again TOMORROW, Saturday 19th December, meeting at 9:00am foreshore near Point Ormond carpark, see details here: https://fb.me/e/208fVe4cf

20.01.2022 Nearly half a kilo from this mornings solo haul, with this bag filled with mostly micro plastics, plastic wrappers and unnecessary single use plastic items. Join us for a group clean at 9:00am this Saturday, see details here: https://fb.me/e/208fVe4cf

19.01.2022 On shore wind today. Which means the polluting plastic floating in the bay gets washed up on to the beach. Sad,disgusting, incredulous that we let this be th...e norm, we don’t seem to be able to learn. Apologies to wildlife who call this home. @lilydambrosiomp @delwp_vic @sustainabilityvictoria @theageaustralia @abcnews_au See more

16.01.2022 Thank you to our tough troop of ten who braved the inclemental elements on Saturday morning and within an hour collected a total of 32 kgs of rubbish. This included a total 88 plastic bottles, 11 glass bottles and (for lack of a better term) an unprecedented count of 46 aerosol cans. A couple of our beach patrollers had also counted 453 cigarette butts and one found over 20 plastic fish soy sauce packets! Our next clean, will be Saturday 20th February (event details here: https://fb.me/e/cse1a7O8D)

13.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: In light of the Corona virus, BeachPatrol and Love Our Street have decided to not hold any group cleans after this weekend until the public are given the all clear by relevant government agencies. Recently the Federal government urged no gatherings greater than 500 anymore. The spread of the virus has to be limited and by avoiding groups of people getting together is one important way. We want all our members to stay healthy so we can get back to ...cleaning after this period has passed. In the meantime the litter will not stop and we still want to keep pressure on authorities about the size of the problem. We encourage members to still do their own cleans. Your collection data is still important and you can enter it on our app called LitterStopper. Free to down load from the app store. Select Standard BeachPatrol/Los clean as the clean type. Then enter the data as prompted. The data will stored on a central website we put up. www.litterstopper.com/emaildata. You can review it and also see what other people are finding on their cleans. Don’t forget, after a clean wash your hands with soap thoroughly. Hope to see you all on the beaches or in the streets once this has passed. Thank you BeachPatrol and Love Our Street.
