24.01.2022 Enough is enough!!! The residents of Menangle need to stand up and say we will be heard! First it was the very public statement of support for the developer by our Mayor and now it's our state member who is supporting the M9. ... Why do other areas get spared with a tunnel but as a result the M9 gets moved closer to our beautiful, historically significant, unique village? It is time for us all to hold our elected representatives to account. I would urge everyone to contact the East ward Councillors, Councillor Matthew Deeth, Matthew smith and Noel Lowry and demand that; 1. They demand that the Mayor publicly withdraws her support for the developer and the development in Menangle. 2. That they condemn Jai Rowell's endorsement of the M9. 3. They demand a parliamentary enquiry into the destruction of the Cumberland Woodlands which would be affected by the construction of the M9. 4. They demand that the state government assemble a panel of locals directly affected by the M9.
