22.01.2022 Our Response to COVID 19 Infection Australian Dental Association- NSW has now published new guidelines recommending that dentists minimise the provision of routine dental treatment until 30 April 2020 Starting Thursday, March 26, we will begin limiting our schedule to "Emergency Only" patients. We are doing so in accordance with ADA NSW guidance requesting everyone to limit unnecessary exposure and spread of COVID-19. (ADA-NSW: https://www.adansw.com.au/Home/COVID-19-Updates... For Dental Emergency i.e. severe toothache, facial swelling, sensitivity that keeping you awake all night -We are limiting the services on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for hours: 10 am to 2pm only. Please call us on 02 8809 4301 for booking - We would like to screen all the patients requiring emergency treatment over the phone before and will make suitable appointment as necessary.

19.01.2022 Temporary Closure for Routine Dental Care. Australian Dental Association has just announced LEVEL 3 Restrictions for providing dental services in order to contain spreading corona virus. What does it mean by LEVEL 3 restrictions for dental services provision? Level 3 restrictions means any dental treatment that will generate aerosols must not be performed, effective immediately. We will be only providing patients with emergency treatment by ADA definition, such as where it co...uld become life-threatening or likely result in a visit to an emergency department if left untreated. We are taking decision for temporary closure of dental surgery for about 4 weeks now. We took this decision after careful research, following guidelines of Australian dental board and Australian dental association published on 26th march, 2020. We are making this decision for the health and well-being of our patients, our families, our dental team and the community. Please stay home and stay healthy.

16.01.2022 GREAT NEWS!!! Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) has now approved the move from Level 2 to Level 1 dental services restrictions from 8th May, 2020. Level 1 restrictions permit all dental treatments using standard precautions for people who do not meet epidemiological or clinical risks factors for COVID-19 infection transmission. Non-urgent treatment for people who do meet epidemiological or clinical symptoms criteria for COVID-19 risk should be deferred.... 32 Smile Design will continue doing COVID-19 screening for all the patients. 08.01.2022 Re-opening the doors for dental procedures with stage II restrictions under strict infection control guidelines: Government has announced ease on dental services restrictions and has now moved to stage II restrictions from 26th April, 2020. Services that can be performed under Level 2 restrictions include: Provision of dental treatments that are unlikely to generate aerosols or where aerosols generated have the presence of minimal saliva/blood due to the use of rubber dam.
