21.01.2022 Spindrift 3m cat - hull poly dinghy. STABLE , LIGHTWEIGHT Great for fishing or to introduce kids to boating. Easily cartopped or fits into most standard 'box' trailers -and the back tray of a ute - Option with Level Flotation [NSCV] OR AS YOUR SURVIVAL CRAFT DINGHY , AS PART OF YOUR LIFESAVING EQUIPTMENT Spindrift on stormy sea Spindrift (more rarely spoondrift)[1] usually refers to spray, particularly to the spray blown from cresting waves during a gale. This spray, which "drifts" in the direction of the gale, is one of the characteristics of a wind speed of 8 Beaufort and higher at sea.

11.01.2022 Aust Recreational Boating Commitee - have admited incorrect buildplate infomation was a contributing factor to a TRIPLE FATALITY boating incident......[not thi...s video- but similar circumstances].................................. ]............... Outboards drag the aft end down! Boats WITHOUT motor wells to stop flooding over the stern should generally have half the capacity and motor size that they're sold with [on their ABP compliance plate] - see pic . After reading 100's of CORONERS reports I have become angry over the unnecessary loss of lives when the boat owner unwittingly TRUSTS the information on the Build plate.[as well as potentially MISLEADING the Coroner] I believe in personal responsibility- but you should be able to trust an 'Australian [Standard] Build Plate' -The National Marine Safety Committee [NMSC] was established in 1997 and did a fantastic job to produce a standard to make boating safer for everyone.[this has been revised 4 times and due to be revised again] - It covers Design , Construction , Stability and Buoyancy. - Every boat in Australia MUST be built to this standard [or equivalent]. A very simple audit would be to walk into a factory and ask - where do you keep your copy of the Aust. Standard. If they haven't even seen one [as I've been told] then they are continuing to put unwitting boaters lives in [mortal] DANGER - [please read comments for boaters reactions and further safety infomation thats been added ] - cheers Alwyn "Following a nationwide examination of the National Standard for the Australian Builders Plate for Recreational Boats and its application, the Australian Recreational Boating Safety Committee (ARBSC) recommended that a limited review of the ABP Standard be undertaken................................................................................................... This examination found WIDESPREAD non-compliance with the current Standard. It identified that the Standard is ambiguous in parts and that it may have potential unintended and undesirable safety outcomes, such as vessel overloading" - Aust Recreational Boating Safety Commitee. 09.01.2022 Aluminium motor mount

07.01.2022 Fitting the snap davits is no problem on either the 2.4 or 3.0 m Spindrift. We have fitted either the ‘Hard shell’ snaps or [retro] fitted the[existing ] snaps previously fitted for an inflatable . Generally the snaps can be positioned at a rigid [structural] point, but if you are fitting to an existing position it could be prudent to stiffen under the gunnel with some aluminium [box] section. Additionally , when you attach the ‘high’ side, some weight can be supported at the attachment. There is lots more pics on the facebook photo’s Spindrift 2.4 and 3.0 m site.

03.01.2022 AMSA Safety Alert This safety alert aims to raise awareness on the risks posed by dangerous marine fauna. Some can become aggressive once disturbed. An unwanted encounter with any of these dangerous fauna can happen without warning, so it is essential that you, your crew and passengers are...Continue reading
