25.01.2022 The future is in good hands.

22.01.2022 Gas companies are ripping us off! Big multinational gas companies, acting as a cartel, have been overcharging Australian customers for methane gas for years, exporting 74% of the gas mined in Australia, leaving us paying some of the highest prices for our own gas in the world. New wind and solar energy production, backed by batteries, is best placed to provide cheap power prices, tackle climate change and create the long term jobs Australia so desperately needs.

22.01.2022 Shout out to the Fossil Free SA team who brought their message right to Santos' door: no more greenwashing the Tour Down Under. Gas has no role in sporting events, recovery or our energy mix.

21.01.2022 HUGE: NSW has announced the most ambitious energy plan in the country. The government plans to attract $32 billion to build critical clean energy infrastructure by 2030, creating thousands of new regional jobs and making NSW energy among the cheapest and cleanest in the world. 21.01.2022 Yessie Mosby and the #TorresStrait8 are taking their human rights claim to the UN. The Australian Government is trying to claim that the case is invalid because it is about future impacts, not current ones. The people of the Torres Strait disagree. 21.01.2022 WIN! The big policy that the fossil fuel lobby has been pushing for behind closed doors is on its way to the bin. No more cooking the books for Angus Taylor

21.01.2022 If we can get PwC Australia to #CutAllTies with the Minerals Council of Australia, we could seriously undermine the power of the coal lobby over our politicians. Sign the petition now before we deliver it next week:

20.01.2022 TAKE ACTION: Tomorrow! Over the past 6 months, hundreds of concerned Australians have come together to flood PwC with an urgent message: PwC needs to #CutAllTies with the Minerals Council for good. PwC claims to be a leader in sustainability, but they can’t be serious about climate action (or being ‘carbon neutral’) if they continue to fund and support Australia’s notorious pro-coal lobby, which has held back political action on climate change for over twenty years. After hou...nding PwC’s CEO Tom Seymour with letters, phone calls, text messages and calendar invites, it’s time to deliver our #CutAllTies petition! If we can show PwC just how many of us want them to cut all ties with the coal lobby - with our petition and with our powerful show of people power - we can force them to do the right thing and weaken the Minerals Council for good. Join us online as we deliver the petition to PwC staff and celebrate the collective action we have all taken over the course of this campaign! Details are in our bio #CutAllTies #PWCProud @ PwC Australia

20.01.2022 This Friday Brisbane!

19.01.2022 Outrageous! The Australian Open has announced a major multi-year partnership with fossil fuel giant Santos. An iconic tennis organisation promoting a dirty gas company today is as irresponsible as a medical organisation promoting cigarettes in 1930. Dirty fossil fuels like gas are driving climate damage and worsening Australia’s bushfires. Like cigarettes, gas threatens the health and safety of Australians and in the end, leaves us all breathing smoke. ... Sign the petition urging Australian Open Tournament Director, Craig Tiley, to scrap Santos’ dirty sponsorship immediately! http://ow.ly/cE6N50Dyhvm

17.01.2022 THANKS to our incredible community of supporters, our crowdfunding campaign for our jobs, climate, justice campaign is only $2,500 away from our $100K fundraising goal! We just need a few more people to chip in to this critical campaign to help us reach our goal. Can you help? Your donation will help shift the economic recovery away from fossil fuel subsidies and towards quality jobs in renewable energy and sustainable manufacturing.... What's this campaign about? At the height of Australia’s first wave of Covid-19, the National Covid-19 Coordination Commission was established, including a Manufacturing Taskforce to lead a ‘gas-fired recovery’ out of the current crisis. The Taskforce’s proposed recovery ignores the multitude of research from both climate NGOs and the trade union movement that demonstrates investing in high-quality jobs in renewable energy and sustainable manufacturing is the best path out of this crisis. If the proposed push for public subsidies for gas is successful, it will be a disaster for the climate, for Traditional Owners fighting to protect their land, for workers who deserve high-quality employment. 350.org Australia has been working with trade unions and the climate movement to develop a collaborative campaign Jobs, Climate Justice which will shift the politics of the economic recovery away from fossil fuel subsidies and towards quality jobs in renewable energy and sustainable manufacturing. This work fits within broader efforts by the trade union movement and climate NGOs to influence economic recovery spending, but adds a necessary intervention: finding common cause across the demands of organised labour and the demands of the climate movement, with justice at the centre. Thank you for all your support.

15.01.2022 Our new report shows WA Government has been captured by the fossil fuel industry. We are calling for: Immediate reforms to the Aboriginal Heritage Act Publish ministerial diaries in real time ... Permanently ban fracking across all of WA Cooling off period of a minimum 18 months for elected officials and their staff before taking on lobbyist roles Real time reporting of political gifts and donations Enforce ministerial conditions on gas projects to make polluters meet their offset requirements Read the report and take action here: http://ow.ly/GNhi50CvgnX

15.01.2022 Solidarity from South Australia with the people of Narrabri. We will stop Santos and their dirty gas plans!

15.01.2022 Proud of the #TorresStrait8 and the Our Islands, Our Home team for their strength and determination in taking their case for climate justice to the UN. They spent the weekend in Cairns building plans for the year ahead, and can't thank you enough for the solidarity you've been sharing. Thank you.

11.01.2022 All power to our friends at Seed Mob. They're setting up as an independent organisation to be led by and for First Nations young people in everything they do. Please join us in DONATING and give them a follow to hear about their campaigns. https://fb.watch/25lc3_dt3a/

11.01.2022 Today we delivered over 9000 messages telling Scott Morrison to Unfudge our Future, straight to his office. We can have a #JustRecovery, instead of the one the gas lobby has planned, but it's up to us to make it a reality.

11.01.2022 Approval of the Narrabri gasfields is a blow for Traditional Owners and puts precious water supplies, farmland and community health at risk. We stand in support of local communities in North West NSW who have pledged to keep fighting Santos’s plans. Experts say burning more gas from projects like Narrabri will turbocharge climate change, while driving power prices up. If Morrison succeeds with his plans to use public money to subsidise similarly destructive projects there ...will be more communities around the nation, like locals from Narrabri, being forced to turn their energies to stopping them. Santos spent millions on advertising to pressure the NSW government to approve this project, and lobby groups like APPEA were there to add muscle. Together we can stop dangerous new fossil fuel projects, kick the fossil fuel lobby out of our democracy and kickstart a renewable energy revolution.

11.01.2022 The oil and gas lobby are interfering with international climate negotiations.

11.01.2022 Photos starting to come in from across the continent as young people, surfers, unionists, grandparents, mums and dads, teachers and nurses all demand Scott Morrison (ScoMo) #FundOurFutureNotGas

10.01.2022 Over the past 6 months, hundreds of concerned Australians have come together to flood PwC with an urgent message: PwC needs to #CutAllTies with the Minerals Council for good. PwC claims to be a leader in sustainability, but they can’t be serious about climate action (or being ‘carbon neutral’) if they continue to fund and support Australia’s notorious pro-coal lobby, which has held back political action on climate change for over twenty years. After hounding PwC’s CEO ...Tom Seymour with letters, phone calls, text messages and calendar invites, it’s time to deliver our #CutAllTies petition! If we can show PwC just how many of us want them to cut all ties with the coal lobby - with our petition and with our powerful show of people power - we can force them to do the right thing and weaken the Minerals Council for good. 10.01.2022 A new report from the Grattan Institute has found the good old days of low gas prices will not return and the benefit to manufacturing industries has been significantly overstated by the Morrison Government. Oil and gas companies are attempting to use the COVID-19 health crisis to get publicly funded bailouts from the Morrison government -- we can’t let them get away with this. Sign our petition to demand the Prime Minister rule out any public money or concessions for the oil and gas industry. https://act.350.org/sign/say-no-gas-bailouts/

10.01.2022 "They tried to say that it's not happening right now, but no-one has come up to see the impacts," Warraber Island claimant Kabay Tamu said. The #TorresStrait8 are fighting back against the government who is trying to dismiss their human rights claim at the UN.

10.01.2022 SIGN AND SHARE: Bailouts and subsidies for oil and gas companies is an economic stimulus for billionaires, when we could be creating millions of new jobs solving climate change and caring for people.

08.01.2022 @jessharwoodart Who’s ready to take the government on? As they continue to push for gas, we will continue to push for a just transition to renewables. Australia must #CutAllTies to fossil fuels.

06.01.2022 Win! The Independent Planning Commission (IPC) has rejected a coal mine expansion project beneath Sydney’s drinking water catchment! In the words of the IPC, "Based on the potential for long-term and irreversible impacts particularly on the integrity of a vital drinking water source for the Macarthur and Illawarra regions, the Wollondilly Shire and metropolitan Sydney it is not in the public interest." Big shout out to the locals and our friends at Lock The Gate Alliance for campaigning to stop this mine expansion.

05.01.2022 President-elect Joe Biden has declared addressing climate change the No 1 issue facing humanity the Morrison government risks being left with no obvious allies if it continues to stand apart from increasing action and co-operation.

05.01.2022 The Federal Government is leaving bushfire survivors behind. We need a fairer, faster and more transparent process to support bushfire survivors to rebuild their lives. Shout out to our friends at GetUp! for the infographic.

03.01.2022 We all did it!! In an epic show of distributed people power last week, there were over 630 #FundOurFutureNotGas actions with thousands of people taking action in Australia! In a global pandemic, we can still use our people power to show this government that we want real jobs, real solutions & a safe climate. From the Golden Guitar, to Sydney Opera House, to Alice Springs, Adelaide, the Kimberley and so many other locations, our message was clear: #FundOurFutureNotGas! @ Australia
