24.01.2022 MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT As the global pandemic of the Coronavirus COVID-19 has been declared, the Newport Football Club committee has decided to suspend all Newport Football Club related activities including training until we are advised it is safe to do so. This decision was made based on communication received from the WRFL, council & relevant authorities. ... At the Newport Football Club, we take our responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all our members and supporters serious - especially those who fall into high risk categories. We should be in a position to provide a further update around mid-April; until then please take care and stay safe. #AlwaysNewport

12.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of a well known and much respected member from the wider Newport community, Ahmed El Hawli. Ahmed was the Father of Khaled ‘Banjo’ El Hawli & Sam El Hawli, both past coaches and players of our football club, and grandfather to several current players. He passed away yesterday after a long battle with Cancer. May he rest in peace - Allah Yerhamou
