25.01.2022 With spring comes pollen and seasonal hay fever, which can cause some symptoms similar to COVID-19 symptoms. While they may share some symptoms, there are key ...differences: Hay fever does not usually cause shortness of breath unless a person has a respiratory condition, such as asthma that can be triggered by exposure to pollen. Hay fever causes watery and itchy eyes, as well as sneezing, which are not symptoms of COVID-19. Hay fever symptoms can change depending on the time of day due to pollen levels. COVID-19 can cause fever or chills, which is not a common symptom of hay fever. Symptoms of hay fever and COVID-19 can vary from person to person and range from mild to severe. If you know you routinely experience hay fever, talk to your GP about starting preventive medication early in the season, before symptoms occur. This will help to prevent or decrease your symptoms. Talk you to your GP if you are unsure if your symptoms are related to hay fever or if your symptoms differ from previous experiences.

20.01.2022 Happy birthday Lam!! May all of your birthday wishes come true.
18.01.2022 At this time in South Australia it is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended to wear a mask when out in public and you can’t physically distance (1.5m fr...om others). Please note: children under 12 years of age do not need to wear a mask, as they may not be able to handle it safely. The term ‘face mask or mask’ includes reusable cloth masks, and single-use face masks (commonly called surgical masks). At this time, ‘fitted’ face coverings, such as bandanas, scarves, or neck gaiters can be used if you are unable to find a cloth mask, or single-use surgical face mask. Face masks that have unfiltered one-way valves should not be used. Important things to remember about wearing masks: 1 Once your mask is on, it is important that you don’t touch or adjust the front of it while wearing it it’s the part that’s protecting you from COVID-19. If you do touch it by accident, wash or sanitise your hands right away. 2 Before putting your mask on and after taking it off, remember to thoroughly wash and dry (or sanitise) your hands. 02.01.2022 Chickenpox is a highly contagious disease that can spread through the air, with the particles able to remain in the air for minutes or even hours. The main sy...mptom is a blistering, itchy skin rash that may appear over several days. Chickenpox can be infectious from 2 days before the rash appears until at least 5 days after the rash first appears and once all blisters have crusted over. In childhood, chickenpox is usually a mild illness and can be so mild it might not be noticed. Chickenpox may be particularly severe in children with leukaemia, pregnant women and young babies.
