25.01.2022 Dr Cam Wareham has worked in the area of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery for over 25 years, and he has worked across three countries, New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom. His career started in MSK and sports podiatry in Canberra, and even though he did enjoy it, he could not kick the bug and excitement of becoming a podiatric surgeon. He honed his craft in the National Health Service in the UK, and even though some podiatrists would say he has been lucky, I would say when you work 60 - 70 hours per week for multiple years luck is not a factor. http://bit.ly/PodLegends102
24.01.2022 Dr Don Pelto is a podiatrist in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, and he has developed a unique way of educating his patients with well thought out treatment presentations. He loves practice management, marketing and being a podiatrist. He has a video interview series called Podiatry Practice Mastery, where he interviews other professionals about their insights and experience in practice and business. http://bit.ly/PodLegends126
24.01.2022 Nicky Jurd is the co-owner of Precedence, a website development company based in Cairns, Australia, and her company employees over 20 socially awkward, yet incredibly talented website designers and programmers. But Nicky openly admits that the coffee machine is still the hardest working and most loved employee. https://bit.ly/PodLegends095
23.01.2022 Alex Murray is a Canberra based Podiatrist and founder of the website Making Sense in Podiatry. He's passionate about helping other clinicians make sense of evidence and clinical practice with a core philosophy of exploring the complexity of human beings, embracing the uncertainty of clinical practice, and avoiding overly reductionist thinking. He has experience with both national and international athletes and recently transitioned to focusing primarily on helping the general population, and local athletes manage their pain and achieve their goals. https://bit.ly/PodLegends094
23.01.2022 Jonathan Small is a UK based podiatrist, and today we discuss why many podiatrists fear stepping out of their comfort zones, not realising that this avoidance is forgoing their long-term career and business success. It's not normal to say, "I want to make myself uncomfortable", but when you're making decisions about your podiatry business that you think is making you happy now, will this decision still make you happy in years to come? ://bit.ly/PodLegends096
22.01.2022 Episode 096 - Jonathan Small FEAR & Comfort Zones Available from https://bit.ly/PodLegends096 or wherever you enjoy podcasts.
22.01.2022 Colin Power is based in Harvey Bay, Queensland, Australia. After more than 30-years in the podiatry profession, he is still very curious, and he believes curiosity is far more important than passion. He has had an amazing career both in and out of podiatry, and all this experience has given him a unique approach to how he now treats his patients. In addition to this, he needed to have open-heart surgery at 40-years of age, and this also gave him a new perspective on what is really important. Colin is a Queensland University of Technology graduate, and I had the great pleasure of getting to know Colin while I was a student back in 1985/86. http://bit.ly/PodLegends110

20.01.2022 If you employ new graduates in your podiatry business and you're constantly frustrated by their apparent lack of biomechanical knowledge and clinical application, I think I can shed some light on the problem, and I'm going to play my guitar (poorly) to help explain my thinking.
20.01.2022 I was walking 'Buffy The Wonder Dog' this morning and when I grabbed my hat I noticed it was from my old podiatry business, which prompted the idea of this video about BUSINESS NAMES and how they should evolve over time. #podiatry
20.01.2022 Today's episode is Episode 100, and I want to thank every guest who has openly shared their stories, wisdom and podiatry experiences, and also every person that has listened to an episode and contributed to the 50,000 plus downloads. On this podcast, I'm also sharing a slightly edited version of a recent webinar titled, Why Niching Is The Future of Podiatry Post Covid-19.
19.01.2022 Michael Stephenson is a private practitioner based in Glasgow, Scotland. Before studying Podiatry, Michael was a qualified Ski Instructor and then worked in outdoor retail where he gained an interest in helping people find solutions for painful feet which led to him studying Podiatry. He is also the brains behind the Facebook Page Tomorrow's Podiatry and Tomorrow's Podiatry Awards. http://bit.ly/PodLegends098
19.01.2022 David Mullens is a Podiatric Surgeon and Californian health care attorney. On this episode, we cover some simple tactics every podiatrist should be using to protect themselves from insurance companies, and also how to avoid getting taken to the cleaners legally. http://bit.ly/podlegends101
19.01.2022 Simon Bartold has worked with elite athletes for more than three decades, been to four Olympic Games, lectured in 42 countries on footwear and clinical biomechanics, and worked extensively with Asics and Salomon, so it's not surprising that his membership group, Bartold Clinical is the go-to sports medicine educational platform for podiatrists and other health professionals. http://bit.ly/Podlegends121
17.01.2022 This is part two of a conversation I had with a group of podiatry students from Australia, the UK and the USA. If you missed part one (Episode 106), make sure you go back and have a listen. On this episode, I asked one specific question. Where do you see the podiatry profession in the next five to ten years? http://bit.ly/PodLegends107
16.01.2022 WARNING: This episode will motivate and inspire you. Dr Richard Chasen is the owner of The Lower Limb Clinic in Melbourne, Victoria and I'm not sure if his wisdom and guidance come from his teachings as a Rabi or his 40 plus years in Karate. Richard is officially the first Black Belt Rabi on the podcast. On this episode, we discuss why podiatry is the best profession to be in, the business of podiatry and what it may look like in the future. http://bit.ly/PodLegends099
14.01.2022 Dr Jim McDannald practised podiatry in the USA and Canada and shifted careers from podiatry to online marketing. This led to digital roles at Rio in 2016 with the Canadian Olympic Track & Field team and fitness technology company, Polar. After talking with a few colleagues frustrated by bad experiences with digital marketing agencies, he combined his two areas of expertise to start Podiatry Growth. Now, he helps podiatrists understand their online opportunities and provides digital marketing services. http://bit.ly/PodLegends123
14.01.2022 Ben Lindsay is a multi-award winning biomedical engineer and co-inventor of the SOLUSHIN - The Faster Shin Splint Treatment medical device. It was developed to help athletes get back to running, pain-free, faster than ever before. https://bit.ly/PodLegends124
11.01.2022 Dr Patrick McEneaney has grown his podiatry empire from three clinics to ten clinics in less than twelve months and he has done it during COVID-19. Who Does That? One thing he has learnt is you cannot manage ten clinics yourself. https://bit.ly/PodLegends108
10.01.2022 In 2020, Zahava Robinson was pregnant, became a mother, was in labour during her final year podiatry exams and had three major exams two weeks after birth. http://bit.ly/PodLegends125 When she did her final placement in St Vincent's Hospital, she still had to wake up every hour during the night to feed, yet she still managed to finish her degree, fulltime. And on top of all this, she is now opening up her own podiatry clinic, Bondi Podiatry at Bondi Junction, New South Wale...s. Some would say she is a little crazy, but I think she is an inspiration and is an example of what is possible when you put your mind to it.
09.01.2022 Ep 093 - Kieran Carew Pathology Based Orthotics

07.01.2022 Going LIVE with Mr 1000+ Jonathan Small...talking about Fear & Comfort Zones
04.01.2022 Lindsey Ebbs is from Whitby, in the UK, and she openly admits she is a waffler. Still, she is not just any waffler, as described by her patients; she is an educated waffler. Through waffling, she has begun to etch out a new career path, in addition to her podiatry career, that she never thought possible a year ago. As Lindsey explains, COVID has made us look at our podiatry businesses differently and how we communicate with our patients. What started as a simple newsletter idea has grown into something much larger. http://bit.ly/PodLegends127
04.01.2022 Dr TJ Ahn is a first-generation Korean who immigrated to America alone when he was only 19 without any connections or ability to speak English. He called Tennessee home initially where he studied Computer Science and Business, before eventually moving to Chicago to study podiatry, which is where he still lives and practices podiatry. https://bit.ly/PodLegends097
04.01.2022 Kieran Carew specialises in CADCAM technologies and postural biomechanics and is the Director of Foothealth UK Ltd. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he developed Pathology Based Orthotics, which is an alternative to custom-made orthotics and perfect for podiatrists using Telehealth. https://bit.ly/PodLegends093
03.01.2022 On this episode, I talk with a group of podiatry students from Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The students studying podiatry right now are the future of our profession, so all of us need to understand how they think and how they view the profession they have chosen to become a part of. http://bit.ly/PodLegends106 My podiatry student guests include: * Sarah Cox - Charles Stuart University (AUS) * Josh McGill - La Trobe University (AUS)... * Ektaa Vadgama - University of Northhampton (UK) * Emily Reaney - University of Huddersfield (UK) * Amarilys Montalvo - Barry University (USA) * Yona Mizrahi - California School of Podiatric Medicine (USA) * Diksha Mohapatra - California School of Podiatric Medicine (USA) See more
02.01.2022 This episode is not about increasing fees; it's about understanding the value we put on feet. Jonathan Small is a UK podiatrist, and we discuss why the podiatry profession needs to start thinking differently about the value of feet. If we think differently, so to will our patients. Thinking differently is not about charging more, it's about valuing what we do, the service we provide, the lives we change, and the long-term benefits to the patient. ... What we do as podiatrists and what the patient gains from seeing us holds tremendous value, more than just pain relief. We can give patients their lives back by allowing them to be active and mobile. https://bit.ly/PodLegends122
01.01.2022 If you followed this advice every week, how would your life and career will look in 12-months?
