22.01.2022 WHAT A WEEK IT HAS BEEN AT #365performance ! Our amazing members tested their 3RM clean & jerks on Monday and then completed the CrossFit Games 20.2 workout on Tuesday (tough one!). 19.01.2022 Client of the Month for October 2020 is Alex Mullane (Milperra)! One of the most friendliest ladies at our Milperra gym, and one of the most pleasant to coach during classes! She just soaks up all knowledge bombs, technique pointers, and everything we offer and she just pumps out excellence. Not only has she gotten heaps stronger and fitter, she's gotten down nutrition so well she's lost 4.4% body fat and gained a whopping 2.1kg recently after establishing a new baseline afte...r the gym opened after the Covid lockdown. She puts in 110% every time. Great job, Alex! You're amazing! What do you enjoy most about coming to 365 Performance? I love everything about it! The workouts, coaches and people. I felt so welcomed from the moment I first joined and have made some great friends. I've also become the fittest I have ever been in my life, found a LOVE for exercise and learnt a tonne about nutrition. All thanks to 365, the coaches and the community of amazing people. Name some of your achievements since starting with 365 Performance? Getting my Body Fat Percentage below 20%... It was a goal that I honestly didn't think was achievable for me. Took a lot of learning (most of which from 365 and having done the 6 week challenge), committment and patience (and getting it wrong but finding new ways to make it work). What are your favourite movies? Ohh so many and yet nothing comes to mind right now!! What are your favourite foods? I love seafood and will opt for fish every time I eat out. And then there's always pizza, pasta and ice cream! What is your favourite WOD or movement? Anything with box jumps/running/rowing, mixed in with a barbell! What is something that people may not know about you? I am Lebanese and can speak Arabic (albeit maybe not so well anymore!).

18.01.2022 You are capable of becoming the best version of you! Your value system is your subconscious belief system behind what is important in your life. These beliefs are then the driving force behind thoughts and actions. Have you ever felt like something was missing in life? As though you should be happy, but you're not? If you're experiencing a consistent feeling of dissatisfaction, you may find that your thoughts, feelings and actions are not in alignment. That your view of you...r perceived self is different to your ideal self. This sense of cognitive dissonance is explored in, humanistic psychologist, Carl Rogers theory of self-concept. It involves three concepts: 1. Self-Image or our 'perceived self': this includes body image, personality and social status. 2. Self-Worth/Esteem: the value you place on yourself, the level of self acceptance or detachment from the judgement of others. 3. Ideal-self: Who you truly wish to be. According to Rogers, we want to feel, experience and behave in ways which are consistent with our self-image and which also reflect our ideal-self. The closer our self-image and ideal-self are to each other, the more consistent or congruent we are and the higher our sense of self-worth/esteem. Have you ever claimed that you value your health, yet spend your money on drinking every weekend but 'can't afford' a coach? That it's, what's on the inside that counts," but then freak out about gaining a tiny bit of weight? The danger to this is that you run the risk of acting in ways that counter your true self. You might find that your actions are dictated by the expectations of others or trying to constantly live up to who you think you should be, based on what you think the world wants from you. You might be feeling a little sorry for yourself today, but acknowledging that one off plan meal, doesn’t mean you’ve fallen off the band wagon completely Focusing on your daily habits like good sleep, hydration, movement or meditation, is FAR more effective than focusing on those bathroom scales.... If you haven’t managed to go more than 2 weeks adhering to your current plan/strategy, then the strategy is failing you- not you! Perfection does not exist, so aiming for this means you will always fall short. What it means is that you are content with you are, who you are becoming, where you are and where you’re going. 09.01.2022 Client of the Month for October 2020 is Cameron Hastings (Chipping Norton)! This fellow is a top bloke and all around great guy, he's been with us for a while, friends with heaps of people in our community, and even helps us with handy work when we moved locations. A huge thanks to Julie Hastings, one of the toughest CrossFit mums in the area, for bringing her husband along for the ride! Cam is a pleasure to coach and he takes on board everything we give him, from rehabbing i...njuries and getting heaps stronger to mastering technique and becoming quite the gymnastics ninja. We all envy this guy who seems to manipulate gravity and make everything look so effortless, from box jumping to muscle ups! This guy just floats around breaking no sweat at all! You're a great part of the 365 Performance community, and huge congratulations mate! What do you enjoy most about coming to 365 Performance? What I enjoy most about 365 Performance is the competitive but friendly nature of my peers. Everyone works hard but willing to stop and help others to get better. Name some of your achievements since starting with 365 Performance? My biggest achievement since starting at 365 Performance is improving strength and technique of movements that have helped my rehabilitate my lower back injury. I went from weekly trips to Chiro to confidentiality cycling barbells with zero pain. What are your favourite movies? My favourite movies are Back to the Future Trilogy. What are your favourite foods? My favourite food may just be Thai. What is your favourite WOD or movement? I love doing Couplet/Triplet style WODS. The Echo Bike is probably my favourite (maybe I'm a bit crazy) along with swinging on the pullup bars. What is something that people may not know about you? People may not realize I am a born and bred Queenslander. Moved down to Sydney 12 years ago and now own a small Cabinetmaking business, have a beautiful wife (thats better than me at CrossFit) and 2 loud kids.

Not adhering to your nutrition plan through the week due to lack of pre-preparing, buying take-out instead, and dealing with guilt/annoyance is hard. Choose your hard. A sweaty, gruelling training session is hard. Dealing with fatigue, having difficulty taking the stairs and irritability is hard. Choose your hard.
