25.01.2022 More Book Week Fun! So great to see the children dressing as their favourite book characters, and even some of our amazing educators. Lots of fun.

25.01.2022 Botanic gardens Today because it was a pupil free day for our school kids we took the Groovy Galahs on an excursion to the Botanic Gardens where they had an awesome day.

24.01.2022 As a group we all had fun in the Bilbys room painting on paper plates to make a Christmas reindeer. Everyone was busy-busy working.

23.01.2022 Problem solving In the Bouncing Bilby's room we've been busy developing our cognitive skills through solving puzzles . What a brain workout.

22.01.2022 Morning activities The kangaroos have had a big morning. The children have chosen activities rotating around the room. Here are photos of our kangaroos busy learning through play. Miss Jenny visited the doctors and received excellent treatment from the kangaroo doctor team. Construction activities were popular with the children showing me how to make a plane. Drawing and colouring went well with some of the children writing letters of the alphabet. Miss Jenny was impressed by the children's packing away routine. The kangaroos are given a 5 minute warning, a 2 minute warning and then music plays to the words of clean up, everybody clean up. Great job Kangaroos you all packed away so well.

22.01.2022 Welcome to our lovely new teacher in the Bilbys room, Miss Tilati. Everybody has had lots of fun playing together with playdough, storys and sharing of toys.

21.01.2022 We have had a lovely Friday playing with friends. We have been very busy practicing for the Christmas concert along with doing Christmas art.

21.01.2022 Uncle Boomerang Show This week we learning about Aboriginal culture. Today we had a special visit from Uncle Boomerang. We learnt counting and dancing in Uncle Boomerangs native language. Uncle Boomerang also told us some stories using some wooden Australian native animal's.

21.01.2022 Spring Cleaning It's wonderful to see all the children working cooperatively.

21.01.2022 We had a very exciting morning in the Kangaroo room starting our cooking lessons for the term with chef Richard. Today we baked white chocolate and raspberry doughnuts. So yummy!

21.01.2022 This week we will encourage talking about our bodies and taking good care of them. Today we encouraged the children to drink lots of water to hydrate their bodies especially when it's a hot day.

20.01.2022 This morning the Joeys had lots of fun playing in the sandpit digging holes, riding the bikes, using their imagination with the cash register, reading books and listening to some music while dancing along.

20.01.2022 The children enjoyed story time with Miss Daisy and free choice during our play. Its so great to see the children developing their communication and listening skills as well as independence with their choice of play.

19.01.2022 Baking a Cake How cute are the Bilby Junior Masterchefs. We started our cooking lesson by all thoroughly washing and drying our hands. Every child sat and waited for their turn to pour, mix and stir. ... Daisy and I hope you enjoy the photos of such precious moments. The children are going to be very happy at afternoon tea when they get to eat their cake. Cooking with little children has many benefits. The children are participating in a positive manner while enjoying their time at Kindy. Cooking teaches them basic math such as quantity. Self confidence development shines through their faces when they successfully pour and mix. Well done Bilbys you are all so clever.

19.01.2022 Science This week we celebrate "Science Week " and today Bilby's joined all the other children in the big yard for the coke and mentos experiment. The Children were filled with excitement when the coke exploded out of the bottle. After the coke & mentos experiment, the Bilby's did another fun colourful experiment with milk & food colouring.... We learnt what happens when we mix colours together.

17.01.2022 Show and Tell Koby brought in a rock today to show that he found on his camping trip over the weekend. Everyone was excited and wanted to touch it.

17.01.2022 Fun with bones Working on the bones is quite a popular activity among children so today we brought back tracing our hands and pasting the finger bones on the hands. We are getting better at tracing our hands- wonderful development in coordination and problem solving skills.

17.01.2022 Our day at Kindy Our Bouncing Bilby's were very keen to participate in painting this morning with Miss Daisy. The children were having a wonderful time with Miss Daisy this morning playing with the finger puppets and acting out sleeping bunnies. We have read so many stories today with both Miss Daisy and Miss Jenny. The children are interested in Christmas, Bluey, Bugs, Peppa Pig, Numbers and Monkeys. After our Monkey story Miss Jenny sang 5 cheeky monkeys swinging in t...he tree then along came Mr. Crocodile and SNAP. The Bilbys all enjoyed making loud snaps with their hands. As a group the children were then keen to play musical instruments. Daisy and I hope you enjoy the photos of such precious moments. To encourage the children to drink plenty of water we all sat at the table and had drink breaks. As I post this story the Bilbys are all sound asleep on their little beds..

16.01.2022 So much fun in the Joeys room today. Painting, playing in the sandpit, playing in the tunnel, playing with dolls and generally have a lovely time.

16.01.2022 We had a group of teachers and Occupational Therapy Students from Griffith University in to work with us on helping children develop stronger physical skills this morning. The Children engaged in all the activities confidently and enthusiastically. We must say that we are so proud of our Wombats on all areas of development. Well done Wombats!

16.01.2022 Fantastic Tuesday Fun Its been a wonderful day in the Bouncing Bilby's room , today we offered a wide selection of activities for children to enjoy and explore their knowledge and thoughts.

15.01.2022 Yoga time! The Kangaroo children enjoyed having their yoga lesson with Miss Stacy today. They practiced some yoga poses, listened to a meditation story and they shared, during circle time, their ideas about what they want to do on the long weekend.

15.01.2022 Yoga with Miss Stacy We enjoyed yoga with miss Stacey in the morning. We learnt new yoga poses today and enjoyed a story to build upon relaxation and wellbeing.

15.01.2022 Science Week We continued working on our volcano today in preparation for our experiment of making lava at the end of the week. We also enjoyed watching a video about volcanoes on the smart board to extend on the childrens learning.

13.01.2022 Spring is here This week we'll be focusing on Spring. And to start it off the children enjoyed painting sun flowers to hang in our room.

12.01.2022 Focusing on our Japanese Language skills We noticed a few children counting in japanese and using greetings in japanese. To extend on the childrens learning and interests Miss Yoko gave us a lesson based on these skills. We all enjoyed it.

10.01.2022 Dental Week Today we enjoyed a show all about taking care of our teeth. It was so great to see Bec and Ivan from Itty Bitty Stars, we always love being entertained and educated by your performances.

10.01.2022 Bubble time The joeys love bubbles. The children jumped around trying to pop the bubbles. Lots of smiling and laughing faces as the bubbles popped.

10.01.2022 Spring time For spring we decided to smell some flowers that we picked from the garden. Some of the Joeys loved the smell and others werent too sure about it, 'however the whole experience was great for sensory development. The joeys really enjoyed this activity and had fun picking the flowers.

09.01.2022 Playdough Fun The Kangaroo's were using their imaginations this morning creating all different animals and food with their playdough.

05.01.2022 Cooking with Chef Richard As part of our Kindergarten programme we had Chef Richard come in and conduct a cooking class for our budding little Master Chefs. The children had a fun morning cooking vegetable fritters and then devouring them for morning tea.

05.01.2022 Today in the Kangaroo room we continued Christmas art and crafts. The children enjoyed making reindeer with paper plates. Our room is filling up with lots of Christmas art work, tinsel and beautiful Christmas decorations.

05.01.2022 Book Week Fun! Today we have read lots of books chosen by the children, and we have also acted out the story of 'Little Red Riding Hood", which was inspired by Miss Gina's beautiful red cape.

04.01.2022 Dental Week This week we'll be focusing on our dental hygiene and how important it is to brush our teeth Today the Kangaroo's enjoyed listening to learning songs on dental hygiene. We then did a fun activity sticking healthy/unhealthy food to our happy tooth and our sad tooth.

02.01.2022 Today the Bilby's had fun with our fishing game using tongs to pick up the fish. We worked on our fine motor skills and problem solving skills when using the tongs as well as colour recognition. We also worked our gross motor skills and eye-hand coordination as we hopped on the coloured donut mats. Very proud of the children as they demonstrated excellent problem solving skills with the activities today.

02.01.2022 Our Friday has been filled with fun and laughter. Today we offered various activities where the children could freely explore their thoughts and knowledge and develop their skills.

01.01.2022 A Fun Monday While some of our friends were having their Kindy photos done, we had lots of fun in the little yard. Great exercises for Monday!

01.01.2022 We had so much fun with our Volcano experiment taking turns creating lava and watching the Lava ooze out of the volcano and bubble up. The Kangaroo's loved this experiment.
