25.01.2022 A friend of mine spotted a woman walking a lizard in Armadale! What unusual thing have you seen an animal doing? This one was spotted by caller Paul on the news the other night!
24.01.2022 Looking to make Friday the 13th with something spooky to watch? Check out Scott's pick, as well as some of his other recommendations for this weekend! Have you seen something good recently? Let us know in the comments! - It's Friday the 13th, so lets get some scares happening! As usual it's the true crime that is most terrifying, with 'Crazy, Not Insane' (Foxtel) top of the current list. This documentary looks at the work of Dr Dorothy Otnow Lewis, a psychiatrist who works wi...Continue reading

23.01.2022 I think this research will come as a big surprise to a lot of people!
22.01.2022 Scott Ellis has suggested some good, wholesome Christmas themed content worth streaming these holidays! -First up, Stan has the exclusive Australian movie ‘A Sunburnt Christmas’ which is a lot of fun - an escaped criminal disguised as Santa finds himself hiding out on a remote Aussie farm where the kids think he really is Saint Nick. There's other criminals and the police after him and he's very much the kind of guy who should be on the naughty list, but he just might be able... to save the farm for this family. -Pro tip: While you're on Stan, just search Christmas then look out for the little blue banner that highlights the Christmas episodes of dozens of classic TV shows, including Seinfeld, Frasier, The Office, The OC, Dr Who, Paw Patrol, Golden Girls, Ab Fab and many many more. It's enough for a full week binge! -Over at Netflix there's another stack of festive viewing, with the pick of the crop the 2020 extravaganza ‘The Christmas Chronicles 2’. Following on from the 2018 hit Kurt Ruseell is back as Santa, Goldie Hawn (who can barely move her face) as Mrs Claus, they rescue two kids who have fallen through a wormhole into Santa's village and join a battle against Belsnickel, Mr and Mrs Claus' adopted son who has gone rogue and wants to destroy Christmas. It's great fun, loads of new elements to the traditional Santa tale and family-safe action galore. -On Disney Plus there's no contest at all, it's ‘the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special.’ A (sort of) follow on to the hilariously terrible original Star Wars Holiday Special that featured the original Star Wars cast bombed out of their heads trying to make sense of a bizarre plot, this time there's an actual story and one that leaves room for guest stars from pretty much every Star Wars film or series. You want Darth Vader, he's there. You want baby Yoda? Old Yoda, Rey, Luke, Chewie and everyone else? They're all there. This is an absolute must for Starwars fans. -Acorn TV has a suitably British collection this year with my favourite Poirot's Christmas where Agatha Christie's famous detective is called to investigate after a wealthy (but nasty) man calls his children together to celebrate and one of them decides to repay the favour by murdering him. But who? -And on Disney Plus, their big gun for the season is Soul, which premiered on Christmas night, the animated story of a teacher who dies before his time, finds himself in "the before" with the job of encouraging a young soul to take the plunge and try life. It's amazing.
21.01.2022 The infamous home made ‘jack-in-the-box-cake’ for producer Kirsten’s 30th Birthday! Straight out of the Australian women’s weekly children’s cake book. Have you got photos of your DIY birthday cake!? Share them below
20.01.2022 I spoke to Natasha on Friday as she scrambled to bring her wedding together before lockdown kicked in. I checked in with her and husband Paul again today. And, gee, these two really put on a good show!
20.01.2022 Have you done your tipping for the last game before the finals? There's still time! It could be the win you need to walk away with cash. I'm tipping Port Adelaide to win.
19.01.2022 This is a great cause for concern.
19.01.2022 Bob Hart has a new book out! 'BARBECUE GOURMAND' If you'd like to get yourself a copy, you can order now at www.hartbeatmedia.com
17.01.2022 Step Back In Time today ... What did you make at school and do you still have it? And what skill did you learn that you still use? A pencil box that you made in woodwork? An apron, like I made in sewing class? Yvonne sent us this photo of a hand smocked baby dress she made back in 1966/67 she was 14 or 15. I'd love to see your old school projects below!
16.01.2022 3AW Breakfast entertainment reporter Peter Ford posted this picture of himself on twitter, wheeling a dog around in a pram! He says Herman is 17 & loves getting out to bars & restaurants in summer but walking is a problem. Pete says: I haven’t become a crazy eccentric. Not totally. Where do you do the extra mile for your pet? Is it crazy to wheel a dog in a pram?
15.01.2022 I think this is absolutely gorgeous. We've seen some lovely things spring up in the suburbs during lockdown.
15.01.2022 'Phubbing' is the new buzz word! It's a combination of looking at your phone and snubbing a person at the same time. Are we addicted to our smart phones? or are our attention spans diminishing?
14.01.2022 Working remotely for 3AW Afternoons with Dee Dee, I go to my mum's place and broadcast from her landline. Here's Cashew offering a helping hand to those calling in. Remember also, my next puppy school kicks off Sunday as well as our weekly social club. Book www.laurav.com.au

08.01.2022 Their wedding was due to be held tomorrow. It has already been rescheduled once, so they're going to get it all done before restrictions kick in tonight.
08.01.2022 That poor girl!
08.01.2022 2020 has certainly been memorable. Thanks to Richard Stansbury for compiling this, it's a wonderful way to look back on the year! Listen
07.01.2022 It's quite an extraordinary situation. The whole world is waiting for the vaccine and we're losing human lives day by day, but at the same time the trials also rely on human lives. It's a really delicate balancing act.
07.01.2022 Looking for your something to binge watch this weekend? Check out Scott Ellis' recommendations below. If you've seen anything good, let us know in the comments! - Enola Holmes (Netflix) which is the story of Sherlock (and Mycroft) Holmes, younger and somehow even smarter sister. When the Holmes mum (played by Helena Bonham Carter) disappears, her boys seem to think she'll just show up, but Enola decides to take matters into her own hands and sets out to find her. It's great ...fun! Enola is played by Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things with Henry Cavill (Superman) as Sherlock. - Then there's the awesome 'Get Organised with the Home Edit' (also Netflix) which shows us how to organise all the junk in your home so you can live a normal life without going full Marie Kondo and tossing away everything that doesn;t spark joy. Loads of practical ideas for people who actually like the things they own, but just wish they weren't everywhere. Also features some surprise visits from celebrities, so well worth a look to see what they're boarding. - Looking for a Covid hobby? be inspired by Foxtel GO's 'The Great British Sewing Bee', where 12 sewers compete over ten weeks to create amazing shirts, pants, skirts, dresses and more, It all looks very achievable, so have a crack while you're in lockdown! - From Oct 1, Stan has the documentary special on Tahyna McManus (moidel, Sydney socialite and wife of Studio 10 and former DWTS just Tristan McManus) where she talks about the reality of having a misscarriage. It's hard going sometimes , but through her own experience, talking with other women who have been through the same thing, doctors and fertility experts, she opens a window on what has been a taboo subject. - Another great doco is Binge's 'Class Action Park', which looks behind the scenes at the controversial American water park Action Park that was in New Jersey in the 80s and 90s. Unlike any other theme park you've ever seen, this place was (depending on your point of view) the best fun ever or a complete death trap. There were homemade bungee jumps, go karts that you could tweak so they'd go up to 80km/h. Waterslides that shoot people into the air and more. The home footage from this place is incredible. - And starting next Thursday on Binge is 'The West Wing' all seven seasons. If you are a fan of American politics and want to see something that's almost completely the opposite of what's happening right now, tune in for this. Martin Sheen as President Josiah Bartlett is great and this is justifiably regarded as one of the best series ever made.
07.01.2022 With lockdown beginning at 11.59pm tonight, Victorians will have a lot of down time this weekend. If you're looking for something to watch, check out Scott's recommendations
06.01.2022 It makes sense, I probably see my dentist more often than my GP!
04.01.2022 Need something good to watch this weekend? Check out all of Scott Ellis' recommendations for this week. If you've seen something good, comment below! - Apple TV has what might just turn out to be the feel good series of the year, called Ted Lasso, about an American football coach played by Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis, who moves to England to manage a premier league team that's in financial and performance slump. He knows nothing about soccer, is so NICE it drives...Continue reading

02.01.2022 She immediately played the victim, which is something I absolutely detest. And if you’re supporting that GoFundMe page you’re an idiot.
02.01.2022 If you're struggling with isolation, you're not the only one.
02.01.2022 This has really bugged me.
01.01.2022 Five firefighters, two police and two paramedics came to free little Alessio. Thankfully he's okay!
01.01.2022 Fishing is only permitted within five kilometres of your home. Warren's closest lake is 6.2 kilometres away, so he's made his own fun.
