24.01.2022 LET THERE BE LIGHT We are obsessed with Menu’s Phare lamp, designed by Stanislaw Czarnocki. It is a cordless... Easily portable table lamp LED with rechargeable battery Its geometrical design combines a spherical diffuser and diagonal metal base providing a smooth light that diffuses through the opaque shade. The lamp was originally designed for the apartment no. 50 at Le Corbusier‘s ‘Cité Radieuse’ in Marseille, and its design reflects the innovative attitude of Marseille’s landmark of modern architecture. The lightweight and versatile Phare lamp can be freely placed or hung inside the house, and also taken out to the garden in dry weather. See more

23.01.2022 COCCOROCCO 8 years and still going strongThis rustic Deli slash cafe was so fun to design. Designing this puzzle piece shelving system with different sized milk crates, utilising old ladders to hang salami and jugs off the ceiling and rescuing and using recycled timber floors, brought this baby to life. Patrons are still talking about the design and it’s nearly been a decade since the open day. ... Does your Cafe lack character and it’s own identity? Does it speak to its clientele and marries with your brand identity? Call us today for a free chat to discuss your needs to renovate your business. Let’s Chat! See more

22.01.2022 FEELING A LITTLE BLUE ? Not with this dynamic kitchen! For our beautiful clients we wanted their new kitchen to truly make a statement, with the focal point being that beautiful central window which allows natural light to stream through into a space that was once dark and dull. ... The dusty deep blue cabinets against the crisp clean white @smartstoneaustralia benchtop and subway tile are paired effortlessly with the warm @havwoods_au oak floors and timber lighting details, making this kitchen a destination not an addition. We are so proud of it and so are our clients. Another win win! Design: @3_marks Photography: @reniindrawan.photography See more

16.01.2022 ELEGANCE IS EFFORTLESS Soft sheers, natural timbers, warm soft leathers, crisp whites with a banging noir kitchen. This home we designed for our clients has been such a talking point with friends and family, because of its sculptural pieces that are works of art in themselves, from the trumpet pendants which we integrated with different clusters to the tear drop dining table base. ... 14.01.2022 DOGMA DOGS WITH PRINCIPAL It is safe to say that we LOVE working on hospitality projects just like this beauty that resided in Cronulla in Sydney. Pushing the boundaries on a concept and developing a story that is a consistent representation of the business and brand is what we thrive on. ... With Dogma, the client approached us with a name and the fact he wanted to sell American street food. That’s it! We were not allowed to know what food was being served and the name. So we had to come up with a unique design that encapsulated street food and USA without being cookie cutter and predictable. Our concept....Brooklyn meets Bourbon Street. We wanted an underground feel at night with a fun and funky feel during the day. Recycled timber floors, French tiles, old rustic brick walls, exposed beams, custom metal blue shelves and industrial lighting and recycled shutters made up this quirky bar and restaurant. And a custom made food truck!! Yes you heard right More photos to come soon....when we reveal the food truck. Stay tuned See more

14.01.2022 HOW TO TELL YOUR INTERIOR STORY THROUGH NATURE I often get asked by clients, friends and even family, How do you find inspiration ALL THE TIME? I always respond by saying, It’s right in front of you, you just have to pay attention and always be present.... Inspiration is in abundance. It’s what we do with it and how we incorporate and amalgamate it into a design concept or idea that makes it unique and intriguing. There’s nothing better than incorporating a story into a design. This gives it purpose and meaning rather than just liking a particular finish or colour. Giving a design a story gives it breath and life. This is an image I captured recently whilst I was at The Entrance. There is so much movement and colour; the bird mid flight, the mossy rich green that bleeds in the misty lake, the mirrored clouds.... it creates a feeling and it’s a moment in time. A memory that combines the sense of smell, sight and sound. I can stare at it for hours.... Tomorrow I will show you how you can translate this into an interior. How you can use the colours and nature to turn it into a bathroom design. Stay tuned and enjoy what this photo brings up for you...How does it make you feel and why? It’s your story, it’s your imagination, anything is possible. Photography: @julie_parmx See more

11.01.2022 BE BLUE This colour is one of trust, responsibility, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved and quiet, and doesn't like to make a fuss or draw attention. It hates confrontation, and likes to do things in its own way. ... It has a need for order and direction in its life, including its living and work spaces. This is a colour that seeks peace and tranquility above everything else, promoting both physical and mental relaxation. It reduces stress, creating a sense of calmness, relaxation and order - we certainly feel a sense of calm if we lie on our backs and look into a bright blue cloudless sky. It slows the metabolism. The paler the blue the more freedom we feel. - Empowered by Colour See more

11.01.2022 TIP: BURNT BUTTER BLUEBERRY A designer might have descriptive names for colours, because that’s how our minds work. Every colour has an influence and a direct link to a source of inspiration. ... You might refer to it as Gold, I refer to it as burnt butter, if it’s on fabric...or maybe because I’ve been addicted to cooking of late and watching MasterChef. You might refer to it as Blue, I refer to it as Blueberry, because of its rich depth and smooth texture. Ever wonder why these beautiful rich colours work well together in the right proportions Because they are complimentary colours. Think back to your days at school in art class. Complementary colours are on opposite sides of the colour wheel, which means they complement each other perfectly. So next time you consider a space, consider using complementary colours with subdued or striking tones. You can thank us later See more

His way with colour, strokes and movement is second to none. ... Adding a beautiful art piece to your home brings it to life by gently unveiling its intimacy.
