24.01.2022 As the community looks at ways to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Government and Defence have enacted a series of measures to reduce and slow the risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreading within the Australian Community. The AAC program is undertaken within the community and the Army and Community partnership is at its core. It has been assessed that, at this time, the greatest contribution the AAC can make to our Nation is to suspend all community-based and public ...cadet activities in order to assist in slowing the spread of COVID-19. All community-based army cadet units, including ours, will be suspended effective at midnight (2359hrs) on 16 Mar 2020. These suspensions will remain in force until 1 May, after which additional constraints may continue to be applied to protect our members and the community. The AAC is core to the partnership between the Army and the Australian Community. Suspending AAC activities at this time is seen as a positive step in supporting the Nation during a period when we all have a moral responsibility to reduce and slow the risk of COVID-19. We welcome new inquiries in becoming a member of the Australian Army Cadet family at 40 ACU, so please continue to ask questions, find out the valuable partnerships we have and opportunities to gain life skills and SACE credit points available through many of our cadet leadership and training programs.

23.01.2022 Great afternoon. Thank you Mr Wilson for the support and time helping our young leaders understand the Purpose of their Message, that people dont buy what you did, they buy why you do it. Many penny moments especially that when public speaking "Its not about me, its about the message" Now we are learning about personality traits and how they apply to leaders and how to make teams achieve with Mr Lee Chapman.

21.01.2022 As Australian Army Cadets gathered right around South Australia (and the Nation), it was humbling to see the participation and dedication of our Cadets. Althoug...h 2020 is very different in the way that we commemorate Anzac Day, we had Cadets from Ceduna to Mt Gambier, Victor Harbor to Port Augusta and everywhere in between. These Cadets showcased their pride in the community in which they serve and their tribute to all those who have defended our great nation. 15.01.2022 Leadership can be defined by many things and be in many forms, ultimately: 'Leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act toward achieving a common goal.' Courage, Initiative, Respect, and Teamwork What a great weekend spent with cadets hungry to do more, be more, live more and achieve more. ... Wilson one of our presenters send me an email soon after that read: "...I was encouraged by their enthusiasm, their passion, and commitment to the cause of Cadetship. They were willing to get involved in various learning activities. I was also inspired by their own stories and experiences. I saw a lot of leadership in them. A great bunch. I left there in awe of the cadet program. Thank you for inviting and hosting me. Remember, a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle, education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire - today we ignited a fire... #LeadershipMastery weekend was developed to give our young leaders the opportunity to understand some of the aspects that make great leaders, understand themselves while on this journey and understand how armed with the right tools how they can be of impact in their worlds. Thank you to all our external presenters, 47 and 413 ACU staff and our incoming OPsWO in helping make this inaugural and successful training activity a reality. We are, 40 Army Cadet Unit and proud to be Australian Army Cadets.

14.01.2022 On the 20th of July 2019, 186 cadets from the South Australian Brigade participated in a Marching Out Parade in front of many special guests, family and friends.... Cadets ranging in ages from 13 - 18 dedicated a week of their holidays to learn what it means to be a leader and instructor within the AAC. These skills will not only help these young people within their units but will also help to build the resilience of the South Australian community. This course would not have been able to run without the knowledgeable tutelage of many Cadet instructors & Course ACS. Thank you all so much for your dedication to the AAC but more specifically to assist in molding our young leaders to be amazing contributors to their community. Thank you to Luke Scott and Sheridan Heinze for contributing their photos to this album.

05.01.2022 Courage | Initiative | Teamwork | Respect Today, staff and parents had the privilege to witness 40 Army Cadet Units next leadership cohort and the Passing-out Parade of nine cadets who have taken a week out of their school holidays to learn, engage, encourage and develop in the 2019 Leadership and Instructor Course. I attended this year as an adult instructor, and continue to be impressed at the resources, people, time and commitment volunteer cadet staff give delivering an e...xceptional leadership and developmental program to todays youth setting them on a right path in becoming the very best of Australias future leaders. I witnessed dedicated volunteer staff give up a week of their own time and annual leave to work on, guide and train older cadets and instructors to deliver a full-on package of information with their only motivation being to give. Selflessly giving those opportunities to OUR children to open doors to be those leaders. I am very proud of the nine cadets who I know are tired, exhausted and relieved that the teaching, testing, and challenges are over. Well done to CDTLCPLs on passing your Corporals course. CDTCPLs for passing Sergeants course and CDTSGT Doe for passing CUO/WO course. It is a warming and proud moment when you see the hard work and dedication of the cadets who stepped up to serve the 40 Army Cadet Unit in delivering and imparting invaluable knowledge, encouragement, and support to ALL cadets in our great unit Join me in congratulating our cadets - Well done! 2LT(AAC) Adam Doe - Noarlunga Cadet Unit | Building Youth | Building Leaders | Building Confidence |
