16.01.2022 SA Attorney General, Vickie Chapman's Termination of Pregnancy act has been introduced into Parliament. This bill has no upper limits for late term abortions wh...ich means a pregnancy can be terminated up to birth. It mimics Qld’s Termination of Pregnancy Act 2018. Qld political parties are promising to ban it in the up-coming election. www.cherishlife.org.au/right_to_life_policy_onp South Australians let's stop this bill now! To have a voice write to your local MP. You can go to our website for details:- www.loveadelaide.org.au/abortionuptobirthinsa #AreYouOkayWithThis

12.01.2022 !! WE ARE IN SHOCK !! We are all recovering from shock here today. Late yesterday we received the news that baby Brianna has defied the odds and delivered a Ch...ristmas miracle for her family. Diagnosed in pregnancy with a rare and "terminal" genetic condition from having a small cerebellum and pons in the brain (a condition called Pontocerebellar hypoplasia or PCH), she was given anywhere between a few hours and young adulthood to live (she also had fluid on the brain). The family were told to "terminate" the pregnancy. As there is no cure. There is no "fix". There is no answer. Yet yesterday it was found, to the shock of doctors, nurses and well....everyone involved really....that she was perfectly healthy. The initial diagnostic symptoms she had have miraculously disappeared and she was cleared of the condition after passing a million and 1 tests - from eye scans, to renal tests, to ultrasounds and even a brain MRI. I would not have believed this had I not attended the last scan (to support the family as a bereavement and birth doula) and witnessed the examination of the brain and saw the fluid with my own 2 eyes. We literally saw the diagnosis. We spoke with multiple doctors and specialists in depth. We were referred to the pallative care team to "plan". We were told to prepare for the worst. And on multiple occasions, even I was asked if I knew what I was in for and prepared myself for the journey that I was about to undertake as a doula supporting this family. Today.....there are no words. Just joy and tears. BIG HAPPY TEARS! This story needs to be told. Both the family and I feel the need to do that. Soooo....watch this space!! <3 Doula Selena

10.01.2022 I kept my baby. Even though I was sixteen, even though I didn’t know how I would,... I kept my baby. Even when everyone told me kids shouldn’t have kids or that I’d ruin my life, I kept my baby. I knew some would think I slept around, that I was promiscuous. I knew that girls would talk and boys would listen, but I still kept my baby. I knew there was a pill that could ‘take it all away’. My ‘problems’ could be gone tomorrow if I just took it today. But I knew that was a lie anyway so I kept my baby. And because I kept my baby, it’s assumed I hate everyone who made a different choice. I don’t. I love them. And I know how scared they were because I was, too. I know how these girls (and myself) were misinformed when we were told it’s impossible. It’s not. I knew it would take a lot of trust and big faith when I kept my baby. But when I did, this crazy thing happened. It didn’t even ruin my life. Not in any way. Now I have a baby and a family. I have a baby and a college degree. I have a husband and even more babies. I’ve raised a baby and still chased my own dreams. So yes, I’ve done some things the hard way and I’ve grown up faster that I *had* to and I’ve struggled along the way but when I look at my sweet baby boy, I’m so glad that I kept my baby. . 07.01.2022 Everyone has been talking about Michelle Williams after the Golden Globes. I said a couple things on Twitter, but honestly have been trying to get my thoughts t...ogether. This is really a very small piece of my entire thought. Just a decade ago, I would have been standing and cheering at her speech. But these days, I listen to her words and they feel so vapid...so shallow. But I know she means what she says. She stood before a crowd of people and proudly proclaimed her choice and how that choice had made way for her career. She traded a child, a choice, for a small golden statue that will sit on a shelf with her other statues that all ultimately mean nothing. And as her words were ringing hollow in my ears, they were heavy in my heart. I had traded much for something similar. It wasnt a golden statue, but a wooden plaque that I had once held so dear. An award. I had worked hard for it and, yes, I had sacrificed so much to receive it...a healthy marriage, two children who I chose to kill by abortion, the innate call to motherhood, my morality, my femininity, my faith...so much had been traded and compromised. Yet here I stand today...a mother to 8 living children, an educated woman on the verge of receiving her doctorate, married to an amazing man, strong, healed, confident, and uncompromisingly pro-life. I realize now how much of what I believed was a lie. But it really felt SO profound at the time. It was a mans world, and I was willing to make the sacrifices necessary to work like a man. If it meant trading in motherhood for a 60 hour work week, then so be it. If it meant stifling who God had intended me to be as a woman, then it would be done. If it meant giving away my femininity in order to subscribe to secular feminism...a worldview that taught me to hate men and to see them as thorn in the progression of womens equality...then I was ready to make to trade. It really did seem so sacrificial. I was sacrificing for the greater good of women! I cant even tell you what I thought the greater good looked like. But it had to look something like childless women, self serving women, women who saw men as an adversary. While I was able to regain some of what I traded, two things would forever be lost...my two aborted children. Was this plaque worth their lives? No. Of course not. But it would take some time for me to realize the error of my negotiation. You can always be redeemed, as I have been, but you cant always be free from your consequences. So today, I pray for Michelle Williams. I pray that she one day re-negotiates her trades. And I pray that when she comes to grips with her consequences, if that day comes, that she falls apart right into place. I pray that she finds God in her brokenness and that He makes her whole again.

01.01.2022 Commendably, some church leaders and churchgoers are very pro-life, others not so. The following link "Abortion and the Church" may be helpful in explaining why the Church must get involved in the pro-life side of the abortion debate. https://www.humancoalition.org//its-our-job-to-end-aborti/
01.01.2022 From: Alan Tyson the 40DFL Adelaide Campaign Director: Hi Pro-Lifers, 40 Days for Life Lent 2020: Immediate Ending of Campaign... Following a decision taken by Shawn Carney, CEO of 40 Days for Life, I have no choice but to end this years 40 Days for Life Lenten Campaign as at the end of todays prayer vigil. I will be removing all the prayer materials this evening. I thank all those who have volunteered their time this campaign. I am saddened to have to end the campaign prematurely, especially in light of the two pro-abortion Bills being presented to Parliament. "Health Access Zones Bill" Due to the coronavirus, no members of the public are allowed into Parliament House. Whilst the Health Access Zones Bill will be presented to the House of Assembly on Wednesday 25th March 2020, one can still view proceedings online at https://www.parliament.sa.gov.au/About-Parli/Live-Broadcast. As I have stated earlier, this Bill is a serious attack on Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion and a direct attack on both Christianity and 40 Days for Life. Please contact your local member immediately to register your opposition to the Bill; a list of MPs is attached (at this late stage, sending letters direct to Parliament House is suggested). Contact your pastor / priest and galvanise your Church into action, before its too late. The Bill is at: https://www.legislation.sa.gov.au//HEALTH%20CARE%20(HEALTH
