22.01.2022 *NIGERIA-AUSTRALIA INVESTMENT FORUM* This is to inform the general public that Nigeria High Commission, Canberra in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and Australia-Africa Chamber of Commerce is organizing a "2020 NIGERIA-AUSTRALIA INVESTMENT FORUM" scheduled to hold on Monday, 3rd February, 2020 in Melbourne at International Chamber House, Level 5, 121 Exhibition St., Melbourne, VIC 3000, Australia.... The aim of the forum is to bring together government officials, Organized Private Sectors Executives and other stakeholders in the fields of *AGRICULTURE, AVIATION, TRANSPORT, HEALTH, HOUSING AND ICT* to discuss bilateral economic issues of mutual benefits, whereby showcasing economic potentials of the two (2) countries. From Nigeria we're expecting Honourable Ministers, State government representatives, traditional rulers, business community leaders and senior government officials from 15 Ministries, Departments and Agencies. It may interest you to know that in 2018, the Mission also organized similar function on mining which was tagged *"2018 NIGERIA MINING ROADSHOW"* held in Melbourne and Perth in Australia. 17.01.2022 THIRD NIGERIA-AUSTRALIA SENIOR OFFICIALS TALKS, 10TH FEBRUARY 2020. Senior Government Officials from Nigeria and Australia commenced talks today, 10th February, 2020 in Abuja to identify strategies to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries. The talks were led on the Nigerian side, by the Director Regions, Mr. Nura Abba Rimi and on the Australian side, by the First Assistant Secretary of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Dr. Angela McD...onald PSM. Other members of the delegation include the Nigerian High Commissioner to Australia, Ambassador Bello Kazaure and his counterpart, the Australian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Claire Ireland, the Director General, Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Ambassador Ayo Olukanni and other Senior Government Officials from both countries. Issues discussed on the Agenda of the Talks include Mining, Trade and Investment, Education, Sub-regional and Regional Security issues, Co-operation within the framework of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
