22.01.2022 Thank you to 412’s Cadets, parents and Staff who made the personal commitment to participate in this morning’s Driveway Vigil and to support the RSLs by tuning into live-streamed Dawn Services. Lest we Forget

20.01.2022 Well done to Annie and Nick!

19.01.2022 16 Regiment RAA members travelled to the Murray Bridge Training Area in October to support live firing familiarisation shoots for the Australian Army Cadets - S...outh Australia Brigade. With the cadets varying in experience from first time shooters to those undertaking qualifying shoots, the 1:1 coaching from the 16 Regiment RAA members focused on the foundations of weapon handling and marksmanship principles to help the cadets improve their technique. LT Luke Wiles of @16Regiment was a safety supervisor for the activity. LT Wiles said It was great to see the cadets getting out of their comfort zones, enjoying the outdoors and experiencing some of what the Army has to offer. Each year, Army trains over 17,000 @Australian Army Cadets and @16Regiment are proud to be a #partner in growing resilient and confident future leaders. #YourADF. #GoodSoldiering. #ArmyInMotion

02.01.2022 There's no doubt about it - being an Army Cadet in 2020 is certainly different than we have seen in recent history! However, just because our regular face-to-face Parade Nights and activities are currently suspended, it doesn't mean that our Cadets have stopped undertaking training. We are continuing to engage in online training via Zoom and Moodle and our Cadets still have the opportunity to learn new skills and progress through their Cadet Development Continuum levels. ... A huge shout out to all of our Cadets and Cadet Instructors for their demonstrations of resilience, Courage, Initiative, Respect and Teamwork over the past couple of months. Well done to you all!! _________________________________________________ Have you ever considered joining the ADF or are you looking to challenge yourself? Take the initiative and join a youth development program that supports your urge to experience different. Our regular activities aren't taking place as they would normally be but we are still able to accept enrolments in preparation for resumption of face-to-face training and new Recruits can commence their training in our online environment. Through the Australian Army Cadets you can ... - learn life skills - build resilience - experience military skills training - have the opportunity to fill a variety of leadership roles - and so much more!! Take the step out of your comfort zone. For more information, phone CAPT (AAC) Jeisman on 0421117317 or email [email protected].

02.01.2022 On the 1st of October 2020 the Secretary and Chief of the Defence Force released a unifying set of Values across Defence. For the first time in Defence's history we have the same set of Defence Values across Army, Air Force, Navy and the Defence civilian workforce. These Values embody what we should expect of ourselves and each other, and what our nation expects of us. Given the Australian Army Cadet's alignment with Army, our values will transition from Courage, Initiative,... Respect and Teamwork to: SERVICE The selflessness of character to place the security and interests of our nation and its people ahead of my own. COURAGE The strength of character to say and do the right thing, always, especially in the face of adversity. RESPECT The humanity of character to value others and treat them with dignity. INTEGRITY The consistency of character to align my thoughts, words and actions to do what is right. EXCELLENCE The willingness of character to strive each day to be the best I can be, both professionally and personally.

01.01.2022 During the school holidays a group of Cadets, Staff and Parents participated in our Move Challenge which encouraged us to stay physically active during isolation. In the space of 16 days, the group clocked up enough kilometres to travel between all Units within the Coorong Battalion (Woodside to Waikerie via Victor Harbor, Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier, Naracoorte and Berri) plus then go on to reach Clare and we are now working on covering the distance between Units in the Eyre Battalion! Well done 412ACU!!
