22.01.2022 Last week the Rotary Club of Robinvale & Euston presented me with a cheque on top of the one they donated at the end of last financial year! Make sure you support them and buy some donuts from the van! I’ve sent the good wife to town to collect some as some carb prep before. 35km run tomorrow! 20.01.2022 This is mateship isn't it. Even though they couldn't actually do it physically together at the Melbourne Marathon as planned, they're starting together in Robinvale and at Michael's home on the Gold Coast.

19.01.2022 What a weekend! I am absolutely blown away with the support and encouragement this amazing community that I love has shown towards myself and Jade during this year. To think I could say that I’m a marathoner was not something I thought possible 12 months ago. But as of Saturday I can proud say that I AM a marathoner! Thank you to everyone that came out in support, donated money, donated their time and had encouraging words to say. Mark, Tina, Montana, Tyler And Kaisia Zappia ...thank you for all your support. 28 and 21kms each is amazing and to see your kids just love being out there riding km after km is amazing. You are raising a lovely family. Ang O’Bryan thank you! Another family that has supported me along the way. I am so happy to see you go out there and set a goal of 21k and then proceed to smash it, your kids to then go out and do the same is so inspirational. Bibs and the CMO crew thanks for keeping me in the training track and for your support and encouragement on the day. Rohan @ Run Well Marathon Training, thank you for the training program and teaching me so much about running I would of never know otherwise. I feel like I’m addicted thanks to you. Toss Tommy and Jussie thank you for everything. Tom you inspired me to want to help our community and Jussie you supported me all the way. Keep doing what you do and being you. And Michael Traynor, mate you kept me going! To not even have to be asked if you wanted to join me just shows what a mate you are and maybe you’re a bit of a sicko for wanting to put yourself through the pain, but you stuck at and got it done. Thanks mate. I’ll forget plenty of peeps but just that everyone that was involved, donated and supported I’ll forever be in your debt. Thank you all. Stay safe, look after yourselves and please check on a mate. See you on the running track! See more

17.01.2022 When the weather is crappy, the tracks are wet how lucky are we that we can run on a treadmill whilst watching @storm thrash the Tigers and cement a home final... and let’s face it, the Sunshine Coast is our playground right now... meanwhile the other Tigers from the other code finish at the other end of the ladder to Hawthorn! #indoorrunning #notmyfavourite #betterthannothing #training #nosuchthingasbadweather #raining #42kfor42k #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #runninglife #runner #run #running #runningformentalhealth

08.01.2022 A simple little compliment can make someone’s day or make them feel like they have a purpose. This is a GREAT example!

08.01.2022 Scarlett @thevale_podcast junior reporter got the pre-event exclusive interview with Luke! #exclusive #reporter #scarlett #thevalepodcast #42kfor42k

07.01.2022 Hey guys, so tomorrow morning 9am will see the return of our ever enjoyable river run. However, my gran is in hospital in Mildura and things aren’t looking good so at the moment it’s a waiting game for us. So at this stage we are running but I will keep you all posted if things change. Cheers, Luke

06.01.2022 Little message from former Swan Hill boy and now AFL star Brent Daniels! What a legend! And what a legend is the bloke who organised Brent to do this for us? Thank you Toss Lister! Couldn’t have come at a better time either, Luke needs a bit of encouragement this week so we truly appreciate this!... Greater Western Sydney Football Club

06.01.2022 It’s like it’s 1991!

05.01.2022 The message is getting through Robinvale, and you are ALL to be congratulated! Tania Maxwell MP called Luke last week to congratulate him on this project and for smashing his marathon goal. She also wanted to talk about it in Parliament this week.... and she did! Tania used her time to draw attention to a tangible solution that has been created by you - the community, for immediate benefit for you, the community.... She also congratulated Robinvale District Health Services on the concept and support. This is BIG, and not just for a political nerd like me. This is big for all sorts of reasons. Talking about Robinvale SPECIFICALLY in the Legislative Council doesn’t happen every day but it’s also illustrating that with the right people working collaboratively in the community, solutions are possible & gives weight to the need for more mental health services in rural areas. It also cements this project in the pages of political history forever by way of The Hansard. (I know I'm nerding out a little now, but it's significant, trust me). I'm so proud of what Robinvale has achieved through the project, I'm proud of Luke for putting his running shoes where his mouth is and being a 'do-er', and for having the courage to initially put his hand up and say yeah, I’ve struggled with my own head for most of my life, and that’s ok! It’s funny how this little action can have such a profound effect on others. Check out Tania's statement here. https://taniamaxwell.com.au/members-statement-42k-for-42k/
