23.01.2022 A bush fire is burning in the Royal National Park south of Heathcote. The fire is currently 10 hectares in size and is out of control. A bush fire is burning on the eastern side of the Princes Highway south of Heathcote within the Royal National Park. The fire is believed to have started from a spot fire from the Abaroo Hazard Reduction occurring to the west of the highway. The fire is burning into the Royal National Park in an easterly direction under west to south westerly ...winds. The Princes Highway is being intermittently closed in the area as firefighters are working along the roadside. This is expected to continue over the coming hours. Currently there is no threat to property in the area. Monitor conditions in your area. Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving early is your safest option. If your life is at risk, call Triple Zero (000) immediately. 18.01.2022 BREAKING: NSW COVID-19 cases continue to rise, with 11 new locally acquired cases reported today. 9 are linked to a Lakemba GP and 2 are linked to the Liverpool Hospital cluster. NSW has reported more cases today than Victoria for the first time in months. The Premier is putting on hold plans to further ease restrictions, as she warns we may be heading back to the same numbers experienced in July. NSW Health is focusing on increasing testing and surveillance within the Liverp...ool LGA along with Camden LGA & Lakemba. 17.01.2022 Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller says mask usage across the local area has dropped in less than a month as the number of COVID-19 cases declined. "Yesterday when I did my shopping locally I was the only one wearing a mask, yet a month ago everybody was wearing a mask." NSW recorded a single case of community transmission yesterday with close contact of a previously reported case catching the virus.



15.01.2022 Public health alert South Australian arrivals NSW Health is contacting people who have recently arrived on flights from South Australia following the emergence of the Parafield COVID-19 cluster in Adelaide. Passengers on recent flights to both Sydney and Broken Hill are being contacted with NSW Health advice and are being alerted to a number of venues of concern in Adelaide.... NSW Health is screening passengers arriving on flights and trains from South Australia, including asking if people have attended any of the venues of concern. Anyone who is travelling to NSW from South Australia, or has recently done so, regardless of their mode of transport, is asked to check if they have attended any of the venues of concern. The details of locations and times of concern, and associated health advice, are available from SA Health Contact Tracing. Please contact NSW Health on 1300 066 055 if you have any queries or would like assistance in accessing testing if you have been at any venues or sites identified by SA Health. All people travelling from South Australia, particularly Adelaide, to NSW, including recent arrivals, are asked to monitor for even the mildest of symptoms and get tested and isolate if they appear. The Committee oversees the programs presented on 2GLF by allocating airtime and monitoring programs.... There are currently two positions for community representatives on the 2020-2021 Programming Committee. 2GLF is keen to include people outside the organisation who can support programming and give another perspective. 02.01.2022 Member of the Order of Liverpool - Amar Singh (Honorary) Currently President of the Liverpool Lions Club, Amar is the founding President of Turbans 4 Australia and has been volunteering since he was a teenager. The Casula resident has been involved with the Sydney 2000 Olympics, the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney.... During this year’s bushfires crisis, Amar helped organise collections of bottled water for firefighters and made five trips down to the South Coast to distribute household supplies to victims. More recently, Amar has secured a $10,000 Multicultural NSW grant to purchase food items for those hit hardest by the coronavirus pandemic in the Liverpool area. Amar and Turbans 4 Australia have been busy throughout the pandemic, distributing food relief to those who need it most.
