24.01.2022 Something exciting is about to happen. Keep your eye on your emails and our page for our reopening date !! PS It's very very soon

23.01.2022 Baby/Early Development section has been the focus this week. A few more "T" toys recategorized (less than 50 to go !) Also a couple of donations (Rose Cottage & Barbie Car) with ... more to be catalogued in the next few weeks. We really do have some very generous members of the local community. All will be ready for borrowing - in person - this weekend. Melissa - Coordinator

20.01.2022 Save the date - our AGM is coming up on Wednesday 16 December via Zoom (join from the comfort of your own home !). Please register your interest at [email protected] PS Join as a Committee member to receive a free upgrade to a duty free membership (perk 1)

19.01.2022 More toys relabelled (nice new ones which are easy to read and correct) and general updating. Melissa - Coordinator

19.01.2022 Summer Holiday Borrowing and AGM details With everything that has gone on this year, it's hard to believe summer holiday borrowing is here already. We are pleased to be able to make all our toys, especially the larger ones, available to borrow over the entire summer break. Why do we do Summer Holiday Borrowing?... Every year, usually over summer, we like to check, count, clean and fix as many of our 1500+ boxed and bagged toys as possible. Since space at the library is very limited, we can't fit all of the toys in one room at the same time. When does Summer Holiday Borrowing start and finish ? From Sunday, 6 December until Tuesday 22 December all of the toys you have out will be due back to the library and our regular sessions will become Summer Holiday Borrowing. All Summer Holiday Borrowing toys will be due back by Monday 22 February 2021. The online toy borrowing renewal function will be switched off from 29 November and resume 22 February 2021. What toys are included in Summer Holiday Borrowing? All the toys are available. We particularly encourage borrowing of the ride-ons, large and outdoor toys. How many toys can I borrow? Members may borrow up to five toys. How much does this cost ? Only $5 per toy. Payment will be taken at time of loan and can be made by cash or card. Can Summer Holiday Borrowing toys be reserved? Yes, but only by Committee Members, as an added 'Thank You' for the extra work and time they contribute to the Toy Library throughout the year. We hope you consider becoming a Committee Member to get this and other benefits. Taking care of toys Please look after the Summer Holiday Borrowing toys in the same way you look after Toy Library toys throughout the year. They need to be returned to the Toy Library in the same condition as they were borrowed. Please don't leave them outside in the elements, especially to be faded by the sun, and please clean them before returning them, so they are ready for general borrowing in 2021. If you notice that a toy you borrowed requires maintenance, please bring this to the attention of the Coordinator when you return it. Last session for 2020 Tuesday 22 December is 2020's final session. All toys are due back and no extensions will be granted. We reopen on Sunday 31 January. Next year's roster is now open for shift allocations. AGM 7.45pm, Wednesday 16 December at the Toy Library - via zoom. Put your feet up with your favourite drink and have your say - we'd love you to join the committee too. Meeting link (ID - 86009573843) Any questions? If you have questions about Summer Holiday Borrowing or the AGM please contact Melissa or Natalie on [email protected] or Nick (President) on [email protected] Have a great day and may your kids enjoy toys all year! Nick President on behalf of our fabulous coordinators and the rest of your committee

14.01.2022 We're back - in the flesh! Toy Library space reopens 15 Nov - still appointment only. We are finally able to open the Toy Library for you to come and physically browse the collection. Yeah! Everyone will still need to book an appointment, even for returns. Our way of operating will be:... * Book your time slot online * Entry by the foyer * Exit via front room doors (where click and collect was) * 1 family member preferred for library entry/roster shifts (please try not to bring the whole family due to our number limits) * Access to the shed/outside space remains restricted - ask for large toys * Everyone must leave their details for the contact tracing register * Normal borrow limits (5 items) and overdue fines now apply * We are turning off the toy holds functionality * Make sure you clean toys you return * Hand sanitiser available We still need volunteers - please book as normal. Please help everyone stay safe and maintain our ability to open by following these rules. We will update you with any further changes. If you have any questions please email [email protected] in the first instance. We can't wait to see you. Lastly, please remember you still need an appointment as it may jeopardise our ability to operate. Take care. Nick President and the toy library team P.s. Don't forget membership/renewals are a great Christmas present from family members!

11.01.2022 Look at all these amazing donations (except the Red Kettle House and Dinosaur set which have been relabelled). Will be in the library in the next couple of days. Melissa - Coordinator
