19.01.2022 4670tees has been inspired by the collage art of Bundaberg local Marlies Oakley. Each of her designs starts of its life in old magazines, books, encyclopedias, reference books, fabric patterns, in fact anything made of paper. These are sourced from local charity shops, tender centre sales and donations from friends. They are then given a new life thanks to a pair of scissors and an extraordinary attention to detail. Once cut from their original source, Marlies’ imaginati...on kicks in, and the image finds itself a new home alongside other pieces of paper, to create a new image, sometimes thought provoking, sometimes surreal, but always striking. The collage’s are then assembled on to the background paper and are available for purchase as origin artworks. But why limit these pieces to a single person to enjoy when they can be printed on high quality tee shirts for all to see and appreciate. Art Plus in Bundaberg stock a small range of tee shirts but we prefer to get shirts printed to order so you get the shirt in the colour, size and design you want. 02.01.2022 Week 34 of weekly paste ups. As you can see I am back. Still wearing a moon boot but I am quite mobile again. This week's paste up was inspired by the upcoming ...Exhibition and Art Trail "Found! Studio Dog" opening on Saturday 29th August at BRAG in Bundaberg. I have got three artworks on the trail and one in the gallery :-) This one is called " The Inbetweeners" (there is always one). Will look great on a T Shirt. $45 any colour, any size.
