21.01.2022 EVIE’S STORY Evie is a ragdoll that was born with a deformed left front Paw. It collapsed to the side when she tried to walk on it, and it is missing a toe. 3 Months ago, at 4 Paws Veterinarians we operated to give Evie a paw that she could use. We placed 2 special plates over her carpus (like the wrist in a human).... We also harvested bone from her shoulder to fuse her paw in place so she could use it relatively normally after healing. This was a tricky surgery as the bones are very small, the screws were 1.5mm wide and the bones in her paw (metacarpals) were only 3mm wide. 3 months later, Evie can run around on her newly created leg

It's a strange looking activity where the cat stands with a vertical tail (sometimes quivering at the tip) and delivers a squirt of urine against a vertical surface. Most cats won't spray indoors as they feel sufficiently comfortable in their own territory. Sometimes, however, this can go out the window and simple changes may rock the boat.

09.01.2022 ***PARVO VIRUS OUTBREAK*** The Townsville region, particularly the Kelso/Condon/Rasmussen area, is experiencing an unprecedent number of cases of the highly contagious and deadly Parvovirus. A significant amount of cases are occurring in dogs under 18 month of age that have not completed their puppy-vaccination protocol. Clinical signs: vomiting, diarrhoea and lethargy ... If your dog has any of these signs phone the vet clinic immediately and inform us that your dog is showing signs of parvo. It is easy to prevent the parvo virus through Ensuring young puppies receive their vaccinations at 6, 9, 12 and 16 weeks Ensuring puppies do not leave the property or go on the grass until 10 days after their 16 week vaccination - Parvovirus can live in the yard for up to 5 years & after the floods it is everywhere Ensuring young puppies do not socialise with other dogs unless at a puppy preschool or fully vaccinated Ensuring adult dogs receive their annual booster so they do not act as asymptomatic carriers (spread the virus but show no signs) Do you and your dog a favour by ensuring your dog is up to date with their vaccination for this deadly virus!

She is seen here placing an ECG monitor on Bonnie which monitors her heart condition for 24 hours and recorded the nature of over 100,000 heart beats! From this we are able to adjust her heart medications to help keep her going for her very loving owner. From her face we can see why she means so much to him.
