The dates remain the same each year and commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively. Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. 18.01.2022 BETTER CONNECTIONS COMING TO ADAVALE AND AUGATHELLA AIRSTRIPS Announced by Maranoa MP David Littleproud on May 6, 2020. Improved accessibility is coming to the Adavale and Augathella airstrips, with a $204,000 Federal Government investment through the Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program (RAUP).... The $150,000 investment in the Augathella Airstrip will result in a 300 metre extension to the runway which gives more options to essential services. This will enable the Royal Flying Doctor Service to land its larger fleet of plane in times of emergency and that will provide more reassurance to the Augathella community. At the Adavale Airstrip, a $54,000 investment in exclusion fencing will guarantee more efficient take-offs and landings for private aircraft and in times of emergency. For more information on the Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program, visit https://www.infrastructure.gov.au/aviati/regional/raug.aspx. #4RRFM #LocalCommunityRadio #CharlevilleRadio1057FM #CunnamullaRadio997FM #MorvenRadio1043FM #AugathellaRadio1045FM
