15.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/VerySpecialKids/posts/10152763755955194:0. Wonderful news for VSK.

06.01.2022 4TRACKS4KIDS SYDNEY WALK BACK IN 2016 4tracks4kids was born on Monday 2 August 2010 at 4am when Richard Callander, Duncan McRae, Hugh Bowman, John O’Shea plus TVN’s executive producer Peter Wootton and great charity man Peter Wilson walked out of Warwick Farm on the first 4tracks4kids charity walk. The route was Warwick Farm in Sydney’s west to Rosehill Gardens then down Parramatta Road to Canterbury racecourse before heading east to Royal Randwick and onto the Sydney Childr...en’s Hospital. What happened over the next five years has been simply amazing and rewarding. Emulating from a throwaway line regarding Italy versus New Zealand in the Football World Cup on former racing channel TVN by Callander to now a professionally run charity organisation that has delivered over $3.5 million in funds to some wonderful causes is unbelievable. 4tracks4kids is proud of the work it has done and will continue to do for many years to come but it is with a sad heart that we announce the 2015 4tracks4kids Sydney Walk won’t be held. Due to the changing landscape in the racing media and the difficulties that have come with that this year’s Sydney Walk has become one of the causalities. It is unfortunate but it will give 4tracks4kids time to create and build something even better and be back in 2016 with some revamped ideas as to continue the great work. In 2014 the Sydney walk was rebranded A Walk 4 Nathan, honouring jockey Nathan Berry who lost his life earlier that year raising an incredible $537,000 dollars for the Sydney’s Children’s Hospital Network, Epilepsy Action Australia and National Jockeys Trust. Nathan was a wonderful human being who devoted a lot of energy towards 4tracks4kids and children’s’ charities and we are committed in continuing to raise funds in his honour. 4tracks4kids is committed to making a difference in children’s lives and helping the medical staff who devote so much of their lives to the improvement in medicine and care. 4tracks4kids is very proud to have helped a variety of charities throughout Australia whether it was for medicine, care, research, medical machines or whatever the charities deemed was the best way to invest the monies raised. 4tracks4kids is immensely proud that it operates with NO administration fees meaning ALL funds that are raised through the Sydney and Melbourne walks, golf days and luncheons go directly to the front line in making a difference. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all individuals and companies who found it in their hearts to donate, walked, attended our functions or gave time to help support our team who all did it out of love and wanting to help others. Everyone’s efforts have contributed in making 4tracks4kids the wonderful brand and contributor to making Australia a better place. Till we meet again stay wonderful.
