07.01.2022 In these uncertain times, it can be challenging to find locations to explore and daunting to some degree if you are exploring on your own. An easy solution to these concerns is to join a local 4wd club within your area, not only do they have the local knowledge of where to go they will give you that peace of mind that you will return home at the end of the adventure. Today's spotlight club is the Mudgee 4x4 Club, if you live in and around the Mudgee region check out the link below https://www.facebook.com/groups/Mudgee4x4 https://www.facebook.com/groups/39154091331/permalink/10159028983866332

07.01.2022 An awesome effort from members of Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT clubs, volunteers spent their weekend repairing the damaged Currawong campground caused by someone doing circle work and driving in restricted areas. Bollards and cabling installed, wheel ruts repaired, native grass seeded and fallen trees cut up and stacked to be used as firewood, hopefully in time for the campground to be opened so everyone can enjoy the next long weekend. Putting in bollards is not a favourite pastime but the alternative is permanent closure. We all have a role to play, it's okay to report vandalism. Please report the number plates of anyone doing damage to the land managers or ranger and help to keep these beautiful areas open for all. A big thank you to the guests that helped as well. 02.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT Following the Covid-19 second wave in Victoria and NSW in the past few weeks, 4WD NSW & ACT has made the tough decision to postpone the 2020 Sydn...ey 4WD and Adventure Show which was scheduled for 11-13 September. 4WD NSW & ACT has confirmed it was the best decision to make at this time as it is too much of a risk to go ahead with the planning of a September show. We feel that at this stage it would be irresponsible to run a major event in 10 weeks’ time that attracts crowds of in excess of 20,000 people. We simply cannot guarantee that the event would be Covid-safe as yet, even with measures put in place, 4WD NSW & ACT spokesperson said. The Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show is an important event for the industry, and as such we will do our best to secure dates to reschedule for later in the year. We are currently working with Sydney Dragway to plan a convenient weekend to reschedule. More information to come on a potential date for reschedule.
