15.01.2022 G'day all, 4x4market.com.au is supporting the Errol D'Arcy Memorial G60 Patrol Build. Errol was an enthusiastic four wheel driver who was diagnosed with Eweing’s Sarcoma, a form of bone cancer. Errol was working on rebuilding a Nissan G60 Patrol with his girlfriend who he’d met in the ward while undergoing treatment. Unfortunatley, Errol’s girlfriend lost her fight with cancer. Errol’s father, Raoul, set about trying to complete the vehicle build. Raoul also happens to be a S...ergeant in the Australian Army. Raoul asked around the Defence four wheel drive forum about parts and knowledge to help out with the rebuild. This cry was heard by some other determined soldiers who undertook to assist with completing the rebuild. Many businesses have donated parts, accessories, workshop space, time and expertise to assist, with much assistance being provided by soldiers from the Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Sadly, Errol did not live to see the project completed. Errol passed away with his family close by on the afternoon of 31 Jul 14. The cancer had spread from his leg / hip, to his stomach and chest and finally to his brain. The doctors operated a few days prior to remove the tumours, but they returned rapidly and very aggressively. The morning before he passed away, Raoul let Errol know what was being done for him. Errol was deeply touched by the project and wanted it to be completed and to be used by others that are going through what I am. The project team is even more adamant than ever to complete the project. To find out more about the project, and how you can help, please visit the link below, like and share it with your friends. Your support is greatly appreciated.

03.01.2022 Today we headed up the Freestone Creek Road to check out the Lee Creek gold diggings area. Despite the rain, it was a great day out. It was really interesting to walk the site of the old gold diggings, and imagine what it would have been like as a miner here in the late 1800s. Check out the full version below!
