18.01.2022 Vale Lin Gigney It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of one of our finest members. Lin was a true gentleman, club mentor, supporter and so much more, providing unlimited support with scrutineering venues, event organisation, on ground running of events, master driver and event winner since the mid 60's, and hoster of many pool parties!... Lin has been an invaluable member and contributor of the 500 Car Club for over 55 years. In recogonition of his comitment to to club and rallying in Tasmania, he was awarded a Service Award in 1998 for his ongoing commitment to the club and then in 2002, he was awarded life membership. Our collective thoughts are with Kaye, Maria, Mike and Anne. Motor on gentley Lin, we will all miss you!

You can be a trainee for a few hours, and prop with an experienced flaggy to learn the craft, all the time being only metres from the action!!!! The field is 95 awesome cars big, with some fantastic open wheelers and boss Grunters. Message or call David Waldon or reply here if you are keen.
08.01.2022 COVID-19 Update As a consequence of the unforeseen and constantly evolving COVID-19 pandemic emergency, the committee of the 500 Car Club of Tasmania has moved to temporarily defer the Annual General Meeting and Presentations until such time as medical risk and current public gathering restrictions are removed or reduced. All office bearer reports for the 2019 year were emailed to members on the 13th March, and will be posted to the club website under the Committee tab.... Committee positions noted for re-election will continue as acting with the incumbents for the present time. If any member would like additional information in regard to the clubs activity in 2019, please email [email protected] As a further precaution, the calendared inaugural Rallycross/Rallysprint event at Baskerville Raceway on April 18th will also be postponed at this time. It is hoped that a suitable alternate date can be found later in the year, but organisers are aware that many postponed motorsport events may be looking for availability in a crowded calendar. Committee hopes all club members and associated motorsport family stay safe and healthy in this difficult time, and continue to support local business and services where possible.
