24.01.2022 My thoughts on this. It's well ovedue and I'm not surprised. I don't agree with having the freedom of choice removed and I understand the obvious impact something like this could have on businesses, employees etc. ... The products at risk of being blocked/removed/restricted or what ever they plan to do, (pre workouts, test boosters, fat burners) are in most cases full of shit and sold on the back of mostly bullshit hype rather than actual need or benefit to the consumer. With no further education on use other than from a retail staff member that has crazy high kpis to meet and what ever is written on the label or spuiked on social media by 'sponsored athletes'. Protein, creatine, glutamine, essential amino acids etc, the things that actually work and are safe will for the most part be untouched. So, does the industry need a shake up? Hell yes it does. Should it be done like this. No. Could these two 'heavyweights' mentioned in the story be doing more to educate and influence correct and safer supplementation so the industry watchdog doesn't have to get involved. 23.01.2022 While originally written for Personal Trainers over the last 12 months, these can also apply to those of you that aren't Personal Trainers but need to give yourself a quick check-in. Remember, this covid19 situation is not your annual leave, it will pass and you will need to be prepared to make up for lost time. Will you be on the front foot ready to go.. or left to climb out of the ditch you have dug during this time?

21.01.2022 Do you Play to Win... or is it the thought of losing that really unlocks your full potential? .. .... For me, I am competitive as FK! I love to win... But, I hate losing more. . So, if I'm likely to win, I find myself keeping fuel in the tank, I do just enough to win.. However, if there's a chance I could lose, that I could get beaten.. That's a very different story. . . I seem to find an extra gear, more power, greater strength, super confidence a bigger chip on my shoulder that feeds me like coal in a steam train or fuel on a fire! . I love to win!! .. But I fkn HATE losing more!! . If you've ever competed against me or even been on my team, you'd know this. . I'm keen to find out, what fuels your fire? . Do you play to win? Or Do you fight not to lose?

Critical thinking is self-directed, self-disciplined, self-monitored, and self-corrective thinking. Critical Thinking is not about being right. It’s about wanting to understand why.... Don’t simply agree. Don’t simply disagree. Ask, why? That’s where the pathway to Critical Thinking and true Personal Empowerment begins.

20.01.2022 No complaints. Life, even during a pandemic is exactly what you allow it to be. Literally... you should be happy with your life today as it’s exactly what you’ve allowed it to become. The good and the bad. Your thoughts your decisions, your actions (or lack of) have lead you to the exact spot you are in right now. Don’t like it?... Want more? Want better? Want happier? Step one. Acknowledge YOU are responsible. Step two. Get clear on what it is YOU really want. Step three. Formulate a plan, a strategy to change. Step four. Execute on that plan every day. Review often, adjust where required and execute again, daily. Step five. Repeat 1-4. Not sure where to start or need a nudge in the right direction? Reach out and ask, open invitation.

20.01.2022 The problem is everyone is looking for the easy option. Most the time the ‘easy’ option turns out to be complicated AF. So instead, follow the strategy that ac...tually works. Set a clear goal, design your plan, execute the plan daily, record the results, review them, adjust as required, repeat. It’s actually really fkn simple. You’ll work harder than anything you’ve ever done before. But you’ll also succeed like you’ve never succeeded before. Which is what you’re trying to do... right?

19.01.2022 Real Talk. Direct Communication. Are you as big a fan of this when you are the one receiving it? ... In my experience, the answer is generally no. Most that preach 'tough love' or 'real talk' are the first to get defensive and even combative when faced with someone that, while having their best interest at heart, also communicates directly and honestly to them. Two Way Direct Communication is a SKILL you can learn... and should learn so that you evolve personally and professionally.

04.01.2022 There's a growing movement built on the phrase 'Know Your Worth' which I believe is actually contributing to the decline in self confidence and mental health in society. . The self love gurus will tell you to not settle for less than you deserve, know your worth. ... . The business coaches will tell you to charge high ticket prices, know your worth. . Your friends will tell you to quit your relationship or your job, know your worth. . The problem with this... You are not entitled to shit just because you feel you deserve it, someone has sold you on the idea or because YOU know your worth. . The Key is to SHOW YOUR WORTH! . Actually DO THE WORK! . Prove it to yourself, leave no doubt in your clients eyes, show your boss or partner EXACTLY what you are WORTH with actions and results not just words. . If anyone is telling you to charge more, expect more, demand more, without first putting in the work to EARN it. You're either about to be sold.. Or you're being fed bullshit and you should seek a better mentor/coach/friend. . Show Your Worth

04.01.2022 So this fruit and vege shop owner put all his fruit out on display then simply gave it away for free.. when he asked people to buy some from him, they looked puzzled because it is literally right there for free..why would they pay for it.. When he looked around, every other fruit and vege shop was doing the same thing, putting their produce out for free. None of them could understand why people had stopped paying for their produce.. This is literally the fitness industry r...ight now.. Stop, take a moment and take a big breath.. stop following the rest of the crowd and think: What value do I bring to my clients lives, is it worth something? Will it help them navigate the next few weeks/months by providing a daily routine, discipline, structure, guidance? Will it help them stretch their food budget further by making better, healthier choices? Will it provide an opportunity to connect with their families better during the stay at home periods? Will being part of a healthy and motivated community keep their mental health and physical health strong? Do you honestly believe that you can deliver on these things, daily? If so... why..the..fk.. are you simply throwing it all on your social media for free all of a sudden?? Adjust your pricing, sure. Adjust your service delivery to online, yep. But, if you truely value the time, finances, wins and losses invested in your career up to now, then lead with your chest out and show VALUE to your current clients and prospective clients and you will weather the current situation and come out the other side with a very strong and loyal community that will tell the world of how you helped them make it through these times also. Or... post another 'At home workout of the day' and hope it was soooooo awesome that people through their money at you for the next one..
