22.01.2022 Squash 52 were proud hosts of the 2018 NQ Games squash tournament held on the 5th and 6th of May. 96 matches were played across 7 divisions! A big effort, and congratulations to all our medalists. Pictured is Tournament Director and Club Secretary Gillian Nielsen and Club President Dan Wagner receiving the NQ Games host plaque from Mrs Julieanne Gilbert MP, State Member for Mackay, Cr Greg Williamson, Mayor of Mackay Regional Council, and Cr Kevin Casey.

21.01.2022 SQUASH 52 DOMINATES QJC! Shout out to our Squash 52 Juniors who represented the club and Northern Region at the Queensland Junior Squash Championships (QJC) in Rockhampton last week. Squash 52 Mackay juniors took out FOUR age group state titles and one runner-up title in the individual event, and joined our Northern Region team to take home the Queensland junior team championship! The first Northern team to do so since 2001!... Squash 52 QLD CHAMPIONS: U13G - Payton Douglas U17G - Hayley Hankinson U17B - Wes Dyer U21G - Summer Palmer R/up U15B - BJ Macdonald These players, along with Kayce Hoani-Vincent have been selected to represent QLD at the nationals in Darwin later this year. BJ Macdonald was awarded the Peter Nance Achievement Award for his efforts over the last 12 months. Sarah Brazier was awarded the Rachael Grinham Encouragement Award for her efforts over the QJC. Special mention to James and Ben, whose coaching and mentorship has no doubt payed dividends for our local crop of talent. 18.01.2022 Hi everyone. Our club is participating in The Great Community Fundraiser for 2019 where the prize is a Honda Civic Sedan VTi Auto. These tickets go on sale acro...ss Mackay District TODAY. Our club has secured only 50 books of 10 tickets to sell at $2 each which means we will receive a cool $1000 we can put towards new floors and other really cool equipment we need. Many of us are already involved in a number of different sporting clubs are also selling these tickets across the District. I am asking for your support to sell a book or two each for our Squash club and help get a few more things for us to enjoy. The club committee, Kerry and I will start handing tickets out tomorrow night, Tuesday 2/4/2019 and will be writing peoples name down to know who has what ticket book as they all must be accounted for at the end. Past experience has been to get in early at your workplace and sell a book or two before others get in first otherwise $20 buys you 10 chances at a new car. As a bonus I will follow this message with another post which we need to share as much as possible for if anyone who presents our flyer to the North Jacklin Motor Group and purchases a new or demonstrator vehicle, they will donate $250 to our club. Got to love that idea. So if you or your friends are looking to buy then make sure they have a copy of this flyer. Thanks everyone for your help. Karl Brazier
