23.01.2022 A message from the Commander: On this Anzac Day, I, like thousands of Australians, stood in my driveway with my family. All along my street, people stood quietl...y, candles in hand, in the darkness before dawn. This Anzac Day saw the WA Cadet Brigade commemorate in a way that hasn't been done before. From every Unit and from all parts of the State, our cadets showed their support by participating in a Driveway Ceremony. Anzac Day is a day of remembrance that is hugely important for all of us. While we couldn’t all come together, I am very proud of our participation and the support shown, as each cadet acknowledged and honoured those who sacrificed their all for us. 20.01.2022 Yesterday afternoon the 11th and 28th Battalions exercised their right to Freedom of Entry by marching through the Albany CBD as part of the military ceremony t...hat dates back two thousand years. 11th/28th Battalion were granted Freedom of Entry in 1987 and yesterday exercised their right that included a ceremonial parade, salute to the citizens of Albany and an address by the Mayor. Despite some inclement Albany weather the parade was watched and enjoyed by onlookers young and old. Images Credit: Lee Griffith Photography and Pro Drone Solutions Ph:0419415093

19.01.2022 Day 1 of 25 for 25. Doing a 25 push-ups for 25 days challenge to hopefully raise awareness for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety and depression. H...Q WA AAC BDE nominate RCUO Ed Elias and CDTRSM WO1 Zack Leask. Give it a crack. 25 days of pushups. The rules are simple: *Once you are nominated your 25 days starts the following day. *Everyday you record yourself doing 25 push-ups even if you have to drop to your knees to get 25 *Every day you must nominate a different person. Let's reach as many people as possible. Let's hope by doing this we can build awareness for anyone who is suffering from a mental illness, you are not alone and we are here for you. Don't be afraid to speak out!

03.01.2022 You may have heard that you should sing Happy Birthday while washing your hands. Here at the WA AAC BDE, we don't do that. The BDERSM WO1 Williams demonstrates ...reciting The Ode by Laurence Binyon while washing his hands. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them. Lest we forget.
